✨DENTAL CLEANING✨

Tarter is dental plaque that hardens on the tooth surface, below and above the gum line. This can lead to severe dental disease such as gingivitis, receding gum lines, tooth decay, tooth mobility, infections and more. Signs and symptoms of your pet experiencing dental disease can be pain, halitosis (bad breath), hesitancy eating/dropping food, rubbing their face, drooling, facial swelling and more. It is important to bring your pet in for yearly physical exams so we can recommend preventative options and appropriate treatments. Early intervention and routine dental cleanings can help prevent dental disease from worsening! Routine teeth brushing, dental diets and water additive treatments are wonderful preventative options too🦷

All of our dental cleaning procedures are performed by registered veterinary technicians and veterinarians under general anesthesia. This allows for an extremely thorough oral health exam and ensures the comfort and safety of your pet. The use of our ultrasonic hand scaler and polisher allows for an extensive cleaning, above and below the gum line. Digital dental radiographs are also an extremely helpful diagnostic tool when determining the health of a tooth.

Lyme disease is a serious tick-borne illness that can cause ongoing health issues in animals, including swollen joints, lameness and muscle pain. In serious cases, it can also lead to kidney failure. To protect your pet, speak to your veterinarian about parasite prevention.

With this beautiful weather finally here (yay) we are starting to see a lot of Ticks. Ticks are active anytime the weather is above 0 degrees Celsius and have become very populated in our area. Protect your pet from Lymes disease and other tick borne diseases by starting them on prevention.

Surgery can be scary and nerve wracking for our little patients, but lots of fear free techniques such as calm movements, pre visit pharmaceuticals, peaceful music, pheromone plug ins, dim lights and of course lots of love can help make the experience more comfortable 🧡🤍

Exciting news - we have launched a new partnership with the Canadian Animal Blood Bank, and will be hosting a Blood Donor Clinic! This means we will need some help from our furry friends who fit the eligibility and are willing to step up and save other dogs across Canada!
