Miss Violet is a senior sweetie that found herself homeless and in need of care. As dogs age they get lumps and bumps and things that need a bit more attention. They’re not spring chickens 🐓 anymore and we need to ensure our seniors are receiving the best care possible. Violet has quite a few old lady lumps that need to be examined prior to searching for a new home 🏡 She needs blood work, a dental and this is on top of vaccines, heart worm testing, microchipping and spaying. The costs incurred far out weight the adoption fee, but she’s worth every cent. Violet still has pep in her step, wisdom behind her brown eyes and a beautiful smile under her greying face.

Hi Brie 🐾❤️

Putting out a call for our friends and clients to help with Brie!

While many dogs were enjoying the warmer weather ☀️, going for walks with their humans and sniffing the freshly uncovered grass, one dog in particular was not. 😞
This dog is at our shelter. This dog is confused, scared and dealing with the loss of not only her owner, but her identity. We don’t know what she likes to eat, or where she sleeps at night 💤. We don’t know if she likes other animals or children. We don’t know how she’s been treated and we don’t even know her name. Imagine no one knowing your name and you can’t tell them because you can’t speak. 💔
We couldn’t let this girl be nameless so she was given the name Brie. Her name could be Sally or Snickerdoodle, but we’ll never know. ❓
Brie was abandoned by her owner in a very fragile state; she’s heavily pregnant.
Yes we know who her owner is and yes PAWS has been contacted, but it doesn’t change the facts and it doesn’t make anything easier for her.
We are a small Shelter doing the best we can to keep up with the pet crisis in Canada, but we are struggling financially and emotionally. This is hard.
Please send positive vibes to Brie. She is in a very fragile state and her health is our number one priority.
