Does your dog have an emergency recall? Having not only a solid recall but also one used when it's serious/an emergency, can save your dogs life.
We as west coast natives know how easy it is to stumble across wildlife un expectedly. Having a way to recall your dog away from a Bear/ elk/ moose, ect is when having an emergency recall can be a life saver for your dog.

The is an example of what is possible with teaching proper manners with high value objects. Just like children dogs don't have to share everything but they do have to have skills to say no politely. We work to teach dogs how to set boundaries and teach humans how to understand your dogs boundaries. We also teach you what to do if someone or something isn't respecting your dogs boundaries.
The dog showed through body language that he wanted to just play solo for a minute. The other two dogs wanted to keep playing as a group. The lab understand the body language and left him alone. The little one kept pushing trying to get him to play. That is when I stepped in to have him respect what the other dog asked for politely. Small correction and all 3 are back to playing and being happy.
