I am going to be offering group lessons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in July.

These will be held at my arena in Nanaimo and Elaine Nelson-Hosak's (Jinglepot/Nanaimo). I am willing to travel if there is enough interest and will adjust the price to cover/split fuel.

Here are the results for the Final Race of the 2024 Spring Series!

It's been an extraordinary series that has grown so much larger than I could have ever imagined. Through it all we had the best volunteers who gave their time each race and powered through the long days with 4/5 races having over 95 runs!!

Thank you so much Lee Pendergast! Lee has spent countless hours announcing, but it is much more than that. Lee provides commentary for spectators, a mix of dad jokes and highlights all of our sponsors so we can continuously promote their businesses and provide incredible value for their sponsorship. He also brings his music to keep things lively and fun.

Thank you so much Jamie Lee Surry, Lori Kalyniuk, Carrie Lynn Wilkinson, Nina Bukovac who have all sat through the races in the announcers booth to recorded times! Thank you all so much!

Thank you Leslie Beckford for being the official "Gate Gal" and always assuming the position. Leslie greats all of the competitors with a smile and usually a joke or some last minute coaching, but it adds such a positive touch for every single person that comes in and out of the gate each race. Thank you Leslie! Thank you to everyone who has stepped in to help on the gate, I appreciate you all so much.

Thank you to every single person who jumped in at the races to help move and set barrels! It makes raking so much faster to keep the race moving! Gord Sherry Brooks, Danny Scott Sarah Scott, Don Mary-Ann Maranda Young, Joe Dani Francis, Matt Rinas, it is long days and there is a physical element to it, but you guys have helped make such a difference for time.

Thank you my dad Doug Innes for all of his time and work on race day as well as set up and take down. We ran in all conditions this series - snow, mud, wind, rain, sun and each time he worked hard to make sure the ground was going to be safe and fair for everyone.

Thank you Brad Milot! Your energy stays up until the last rider is finished and you spend the entire day running, whether its set up, setting and moving barrels or collect hats and other shrapnel that come off during runs! He never walks, he runs! Brad also carries out all of the things I physically cannot because I am competing as well and it allows me to step back on race day and have the confidence that Brad will run the race exactly how I would like it done. It's been a much larger workload because of how much the races have grown, but I am so proud to have a partner that can see the things that need to be done ahead of time without being told. Brad takes ownership on making sure the races are a success! I couldn't do it without you ❤️

Thank you to all of my friends and family who have also stepped in to make sure Tinley was taken care of. Race days are incredibly busy for everyone and it really takes a village to make the races go off the way they do!

$5,250 to be paid out from the 2024 Spring Series Sidepot Slot Race!!

Race 5 brought some shake ups and changes to the placings and
Olivia Halliday secured a second cheque for 1st in the 2D sidepot
aboard Elaine Nelson-Hosak's Rockin Ta Fame and bumping Coty Huculak's 1st in the 2D lead from Race 2 to second. Race 5 also
saw changes to the 4D with Sam Vadeboncoeur securing 2nd in
the 4D and Teagan Milot running 0.020 too fast to take the top
spot in the 4D.

Congrats Mary-Ann Maranda Young for taking 1st in the 1D,
setting a new arena record this series, running the fastest time of
the series and taking the win of the final race. The series only
saw two changes to first place in each of the 5 races in the
series, with Mary-Ann taking first 2 times and Lindsey Innes
taking first 3 of the 5 races.

Siobhan Postma took the win in the 3D with her run from Race 4 and Ollivais run from Race 4 also secured her 2nd in the 3D.

Kayleigh Burford's run aboard Quixtar Journey from Race 4 secured the win in the 4D.

Here are the current results for the Sidepot Slot Race after Race 4! All new changes to the 3D and 4D placings after Race 4.

There is still time to buy 1 Slot before the final race this Saturday!

First place in each D (1D-4D) will pay no less than $746.25! And place in each D (1D-4D) will pay no less than $497.50!

These payouts will only go up as more people sign up! It is very cool to potentially win this good of money without having to make any additional runs on your horse and still get to place in the category you run in at each race!

I'm still in complete shock from yesterday! My goal was to raise $4,000 this year to beat what was raised in 2023 at $3,472...

Well, we almost doubled that number yesterday! $6,737.50 was raised yesterday for the BC Children's Hospital Foundation!!!!!!

Thanks to 21 amazing individuals who put their name forward to be auctioneered off to do something they do not have experience doing! That takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there. These riders brought in a total of $11,135 for the top bids on each of them, quick math and that's an average of over $500 PER RIDER!!! Thank you all so much.

Thank you to everyone who bid and all of our high bidders that won each rider! Again, I'm just in awe of how much it brought in!

A gigantic congratulations to Scott Judson on winning the whole thing and taking home the Fast Time Championship Buckle! And a second gigantic congratulations to Chrystal Lea for being the highest bidder of Scott for $500 and pocketing $5,567.70 for your brother's win!

Look at those numbers and that’s just online bids, thing will surely get even more serious tomorrow! $5,140 from online bids and no less than $2,570 to go to BC Children's Hospital Foundation and $2,570 to go to the highest bidder of the winning rider!!

Please send your e-transfer ASAP if your name is on this list. You do not e-transfer if you bid, but did not win. Only the highest bidders on each rider will send money!

The Calcutta will follow the conclusion of Race 4 which will be starting at 11 AM tomorrow. I would estimate the regular race should finish around 2:30, but in the event it goes quicker, we will not start the Calcutta before 2:00 PM.

It’s going to be a big day of racing tomorrow, yet again! we have 146 entries and 103 runs to be made PLUS 21 calcutta riders!

This will be our biggest race yet and we will need some help to keep everything running smoothly. The sun is supposed to be out, so it will be perfect weather for racing and volunteering! even if you can only volunteer for a portion of the race, it would be greatly appreciated ❤️

It’s going to be an exciting weekend with Race 4 and the Calcutta happening tomorrow!

We would like to invite anyone who is interested in camping tonight or tomorrow night or both. If you are camping with horses, you must bring your own fencing or panels and park in the area beside the barn by the in-gate. No panels on the road or driveway please. Please let me know if you’ll be coming and we can make the best flow for parking ahead of time 😊

How exciting! We are already at $3,755 in online bids for the Calcutta! We have a few new riders that are just awaiting their bids, so get bidding and keep sharing!!

Online bidding will close tomorrow, April 12th at 6 PM. Top bidders will be notified and payment must be sent by e-transfer by 8 PM. If payment is not received, the ridder will be won by the next highest bidder.

If you are the highest bidder online and send payment, but then are outbid in person, your money will be refunded in full to you.

The pot will only continue to go up. Let's see how much we can raise! I will continue to share the amazing videos and content the competitors are coming up with! This is sure going to be great watching!

I stopped riding for a long time again when I moved to Saskatchewan, but I recently moved back 6 years ago. I started riding with my daughter Josie Jennett for the last 5 years, just casually trail riding. So I thought I’d join her in this event… she made me do it.”

Meet Alyssa Penney! Winner of Race 1 in the Juniors for the Innes Arena Winter Series. It’s been so exciting watching this young lady’s journey from being a Peewee to now racing in the Open.
