Here is a list of the candidates nominated for Council during the 2021 nomination period. These three candidates have been acclaimed. There will be a second nomination period after September 28th. REMINDER NOTICE

Spring cleanup will begin on Monday, June 14th and end on Friday, June 18th. Please have your items out by 8 am Monday morning.

Town taxes are due to be paid by June 30th. Interest charges will be added beginning in July.

Residents are reminded to join our Town of Campbellton Facebook Group. This Group will replace our previous page. All our newsletters and announcements will be posted in the Group ONLY as of July 1st! Please share this post with your friends and neighbours! If you are a member of our group please invite others in the community so that everyone can be included and stay informed. Thank you!

PUBLIC NOTICE

Residents are cautioned when in the area of the fire hall on Bob Clark Drive that there is a barrier erected to mark a trouble area in the road. We have placed illuminated cones to increase visibility but someone has stolen them on two occasions. This is not only costly but could be dangerous. If anyone has information as to who has taken the cones please advise the town office. Please be careful when in the area. We have applied for road work and are waiting for a response from the province. Please share this post!

PUBLIC NOTICE
SPRING CLEANUP

Spring cleanup will begin on Monday, June 14 and continue until Friday, June 18th, 2021.

Please separate materials as follows:
1. Electronics
2. Garden waste (leaves and grass only) must be in clear bags. No trees or branches.
3. Furniture
4. Metals (including large appliances) please remove the doors
5. Other household items (not regular garbage)

PLEASE NOTE:
We will not be picking up construction and demolition items.
No hazardous waste (propane cylinders, batteries or paint) No tires.
Everything must be out for pickup on Monday June 14th so that we can complete the cleanup
as efficiently as possible.
*Old paint/cans can be dropped off at Pritchett’s in Lewisporte #535-2541
*Old automobile tires can be brought to Campbellton Garage #261-2315
(tires must be off rims, no quad tires accepted)
*To have car wrecks removed, you may call Tyler Hill at #541-1936/541-3215 or Manuel’s Metal
Recycling at #535-0104.

If you have any questions regarding disposal of hazardous waste such as propane tanks,
batteries, etc. please call Central Newfoundland Waste Management at (709) 653-2900.

⚠️ There are now 24 confirmed cases associated with the cluster in the Central Health region and there are 8 remaining presumptive positive cases in the region related to the cluster. The source of infection remains under investigation.

❗️ Public Health advises against travel in and out of the Lewisporte to Summerford area of the province, except for essential purposes. They strongly encourage people in the area to get tested whether or not they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
