⚠️ Blastomycosis in Our Region: A Timely Reminder for Pet Owners ​🦠

Did You Know? Blastomycosis has long been a concern in our area, especially around Manitoulin Island. This fungal infection can be dangerous, particularly for our furry friends. Unfortunately, recent dog deaths have brought this issue back into the spotlight.

🐾Why is this important?
Blastomycosis thrives in moist soil and decomposing organic matter, making our region a prime environment for the fungus. Dogs that love to dig or explore wooded areas are especially at risk.

🐾What should you do?
Stay Informed: Be aware of the signs of Blastomycosis, such as coughing, weight loss, or eye problems.

⚠️ Act Quickly: If you notice any of these symptoms in your pet, contact us immediately. Early detection is key to successful treatment.

Remember: Blastomycosis has always been here. Stay vigilant, and let's keep our pets safe! Share this post- you may save a life!

Beautiful Lady is our temporary foster who is looking for her forever home. This sweet young female adult was found outside in a dog crate that was too small for her. She was starving-skin and bones, and had no shelter from the elements. She had come a long way from that day. Despite being deprived of food, she sits pretty for her food and doesn't guard her food. She had been spayed last week. She would do best with an active family that will take her for a run. she loves to run so much. She loves to play, but does know when to settle at home. She can be left alone. Lady thinks she is a lap dog and cuddles right up on your lap and is a good sleeping partner if you like. She has learned to sit and lay down on command. She comes to you when called. They figure she is a lab cross. The picture of her paw with gold flecks is so cool! Brindle paws lol Call or message Pet Save if you are interested in this beautiful dog.

Being an animal lover all of her life, Lisa and her husband, Ron, began putting together the pieces of the dream 1.5 years ago. With the help and support of her family, she is proud to open her own grooming shop in the very near future. Her resume includes work in the equine field, veterinary office, SPCA, and dog grooming and boarding facilities.

Lisa offers grooming services 5 days a week for your convenience. We are a full service grooming salon located in Capreol, Ontario. Professional dog and cat grooming with specialized services available. Our salon offers a safe, calm and clean environment for your pets. We use only the industries top salon products to suit all coat types and skin needs. Walk in nail trims welcome.

Our goal is for your pet to have a safe and enjoyable experience while with us. If your pet has special needs, we will cater to them to the best of our abilities.
