Did You Know? Blastomycosis has long been a concern in our area, especially around Manitoulin Island. This fungal infection can be dangerous, particularly for our furry friends. Unfortunately, recent dog deaths have brought this issue back into the spotlight.
🐾Why is this important?
Blastomycosis thrives in moist soil and decomposing organic matter, making our region a prime environment for the fungus. Dogs that love to dig or explore wooded areas are especially at risk.

Stay Informed: Be aware of the signs of Blastomycosis, such as coughing, weight loss, or eye problems.
