This is ADC Zara and she is a Rottweiler. Some people question what it’s like to train this breed for service work. A well-bred Rottweiler from a reputable breeder is a pure joy to work with. They are a very loyal, smart and gentle breed. They learn what you teach them and positive reinforcement training is the best way to teach these beautiful dogs.

This sweet boy has one very dedicated foster. She takes him out regularly and this helps him to get the public access experience he needs to be the best service dog he can be. We cannot thank our team of fosters and puppy sitters enough. You are all incredible people doing so much for our communities.

ADC Nyx is a rough coated collie. Yes, just like lassie. This sweet girl is very smart and very proud to wear her vest out in public. Did you know that service dogs in training only wear their vests when in places dogs don’t normally go? This is to indicate to store owners that she is in training with ADC and needs to stay with her person.

🤩Fun Fact Friday!... Did you know... 🤔

🐕‍🦺Dogs have 18 muscles controlling their ears. 🐕‍🦺

It helps them to change the direction to hear noises around them better, and play a really big part in telling us how our dogs are feeling. A lot of a dog’s body language is expressed through what their ears are doing so a dog’s ears are vital in helping them communicate both with us and other dogs.
