Today we celebrate this client who has just gone and acheived a goal that wasn't possible before. We are so proud of this person and their ADC dog. (name of client and dog hidden for privacy reasons)

"I did something today that I said I’d never do but it was very manageable with my ADC dog at my side. I went to Costco on a Friday in December!!! And right after that we went to Walmart. She did super and got so many compliments"

For many... this is so relatable.
We are very very proud of our client.

Story time! This one is heart warming sent in from one of our clients who understands the incredible gift these dogs are. Now, before you read I will say that you need to understand why our handler “broke” the no petting a service dogs rule. She took the jacket off and gave this man the gift of petting her beautiful Max. Please read her story…. We are so proud of this team and the love they gave.

I wanted to share this story about Max & Dan. It was an encounter at the local Y, right away the two of them clicked. Dan has frontal lobe dementia he’d walk on the track, Jane(his wife) would workout. I decided to de-vest Max & let him spend time with Dan, this is one of the few times he shows emotion & also speaks. This went on for a few months a couple times a week, now he’s placed in a residence. I finally was able to visit, it was very emotional for me to see Dan’s face light up when he saw Max. After the fact I told Jane about our visit there were many tears of joys all around, he remembered Max his words “I love Max”. He is my service dog and allows me to function in this crazy world but he made a big difference in someone else’s. We can never underestimate the wonders of our relationship with our service dogs
There will be more visits to come that will also be with Jane

ADC Poppy gave hugs today at The Kingston Military Resource Centre. Both Poppy and Scotia attended the Resource Centre today to talk about PTSD service dogs and The Munro Fund. The Munro Fund is designed to help military families who need a service dog for PTSD. What a great evening for Poppy and Scotia.
