A few super super cold days mean short sessions with the horses and extra time in the leather shop getting some custom orders completed.

On top of that we've been steady at work renovating our cabins on site, improving our ranch and I'm on a meal prep kick hoping to have enough frozen meals to last us a summer so we can optimize day light this year ;)

I do my best to cover all the info, so please read thoroughly if interested 💕

Noodle just wrapped up 30 days riding and is ready for a new home! This sweet natured willing filly was super easy to bring along, never has offered to buck or bolt or do anything naughty. She has been straight forward to train and is ready to continue on whatever direction you'd like.

She goes walk trot and lope in the arena or out, yields her shoulder/hindquarters and is starting to put it all together into some side passing and working a gate. She has been trail rode a ton solo, and a few times in a group where she didn't mind being lead or follower. She is brave and smart on the trail with a confident rider. She is not spooky and likes to think things through calmly. She has crossed creeks, bridges and rode down a busy highway. We have hauled her to the indoor arena where she rode the same as at home outside.

Noodle will pick you up at the mounting block and calmly walk off, no lunging required. She is a great mix of whoa and go and enjoys loping around the pasture or just toodling down the trail.

Because she only has 30 rides I would suggest her going to someone with a bit of experience with young horses, or in lessons. But she would be an amazing young mare to bring along for a handy youth too.

Easy to catch out on pasture, and low to mid in the pecking order. Easy to trim (last done 4 weeks ago) and has always been an easy keeper. She ties, leads, loads... she does all the "things" ;) she will be a super fun partner for just about anything!! She has free jumped up to a meter, rode around obstacles, trail rides and is super sure footed but is also just a total blast to play with in the arena. She ground drives super nicely too and would make a phenomenal cart horse too. The options are endless.

Her cross has proven to be steady minded, I have trained and sold several of her siblings and they have gone on to be kids horses, a youth jumper, a seniors horse, one is in a therapy program, and 2 are out pulling a covered wagon in the mountains. This line of horses are tried and proven and Noodle is no different. Don't miss out!

This 14hh gelding is not your run of the mill fjord! This very special dude has all the endearing aspects of the breed; friendly, loyal, quiet! What is unique? This dude has an engine. His name should be Thomas, because he's the little engine who could.

There is no bottom to this geldings potential, he is super athletic and quite forward moving. He has incredible stamina and will go quite literally all day long. He loves jumping and super enjoys long trotting and loping around the pasture or going on long trail rides.

Little Bug has just completed 45 days training, and has about 20 rides on him. He is the first to the gate every single day, he loves to come in to work and always brings his enthusiastic attitude with him. He is the kind you can just saddle up and jump on. He ties, stands for the farrier and being tacked up like a dream. He loads perfectly and has been exposed to indoor arenas. Little Big has never bucked, reared etc. Under saddle. He is super super friendly and with a confident rider is brave and fun out on the trail solo or in a group. He goes walk trot and canter in the arena and out on his own and is starting to figure out the lateral maneuvers as well. He would do best with an adult rider at his current training level.

He has fantastic potential as a jumper as well, with plenty of scope and a good forward button, he has been jumped xrail courses under saddle and has been free jumped up to 1 meter with room to spare.

He has worn and been ponied with pack boxes with no issues. He would be an awesome addition to a dude string for the trail season, he is strong as you can find and you won't have to lift your heavy boxes high to load them on this guy. We have done some ground driving in harness as well and he would likely be the perfect all arounder for everyone to enjoy!!

Overall, he has proven to be a willing gelding with no quit in him. He'll likely never run out of gas on big mountain trips and has great bone and feet to never be worn down with hard work.

Thank you to all of our amazing clients this year. We appreciate you all! This year was flat out busy. We partnered up 52 horses with 52 awesome owners, and started 21 c**ts under saddle this year.

We managed to get it done all while buying and moving into our new ranch, and raising a baby. Thank you for supporting us in this chapter of our lives.

More great horses to hit the market soon as we prep a few more to be ready for their forever homes.

We have had a great year with some really kind and forgiving horses and of course some fantastic clients. I'm sitting down... a literal miracle!

We are now settled in and in full swing with the horses. Boy does it ever feel great. We've hardly had the time to sit down and be grateful for everything we have.

Now that we are both settled down, it's time to keep you all updated on the adventures of BAR Double R. We are flat out starting c**ts, prepping sale horses and tuning up client horses. Expect some more updates here as I promise to share more!

We have 20 horses in full time work, which means it's go go go from sun up to sun down! Thank you Lord for providing us with so many opportunities, and thank you to our new community for the support. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates!

We have moved! Permanently!

So happy to share that we are officially located west or Caroline, our beautiful property boasts endless natural obstacles, with two creeks, a bridge and forested areas.

We are absolutely thrilled to continue on our journey on this amazing piece of land. Our sales program is in full swing. From unstarted to well broke we have all available.

This super quiet to handle dude is an absolute blessing to have around the farm. Enjoys being brushed and super easy to catch. He is broke to ride and has a good stop, he is still a bit green in that he isn't finished and his training comes from being track started but he is safe with no buck bolt or rear. Has lovely movement for the dressage/jumper ring and enough experience around cattle to make a quick roping project. Good run to him as well for barrels etc.
He was never raced and you can lookup his name "schramtastic"
This dude would be an easy horse to finish your way, and hard to find big geldings!
Only vice is that Schram doesn't tie, he does however hobble perfectly still and will go with his hobbles when sold.

Sneak Peak!

Will be officially for sale next week as he finishes his 30 days. This QUALITY pony would make a perfect dressage jumping or reining pony. He seriously has 10/10 movement, a floaty and big trot with lots of knee and hock action. He has been free jumped to 3' and has room to spare. At 4 years old hes ready to dive head first into his new career with someone handy who can finish him in whatever discipline they like. At 13hh he's the perfect height for an adult to school while a child starts to take over.

Gentle minded but forward with balance and try. This is bound to be an upper level pony no matter what way you finish him!

Were you watching closely? Yes thats Dill Pickle going out alone, and completing all the obstacles first try! Our favorite pony Dill Pickle is 14hh of bomb proof and lots of go! This dude is game for literally anything. You'll be seeing him for sale in the near future. He only has a week's riding after being a chuck wagon pony his whole life, and we couldn't be happier with how he's transitioned!

Please share!! Still available "DEKA" Branded hanoverian 11 year old mare. Mostly ridden dressage, this sensible 17.2hh mare is a big moving forward and light ride. Suited to a confident intermediate rider. She has been schooled mostly in dressage but shows talent through the free jump line and has been rode over a variety of smaller jumps outside and inside up to 2'9". Matcha on the long track after a little practice! Very proud of how far this mare has come. With just 60 days of riding on her shes my go to for anything I need. Ponying colts, shooting mounted archery, trail riding etc.

Matcha ran the long track for the first time last night as we finally are dry enough to groom it. This mare has just less than 60 rides and is really a super star. We've been ponying colts all week and threw her down the track for fun and she nailed it!

Maverick, a client owned horse, getting the hang of cantering and allowing me to shoot. This cool big guy is turning out to be a very accomplished archery horse!! He has been with me for 45 days and has gone from a nervous Nelly to a strong and brave guy going beautifully under saddle. Strong in all 3 gaits and has the lateral movements. These Drum Horses are a blast. I'm so spoiled that my clients bring me the coolest horses!!

First week with "Cordelia"

1 week with sweet Cordelia. This mare came to us with no training a week ago, but shes clever and in our first week together we are riding around the roundpen with lots of control! Stay tuned to see how week 2 goes!!
