I have decided to do pack profiles of all our regular pack dogs. To start us off right is Ellie! She is a staffy mix who’s favourite thing is fetch. Ellie is the first dog that every new pack member befriends, she is gentle, calm and very neutral. All of our less confident dogs gravitate to her because of her ability to read them and what they need. But don’t let that fool you because she is full of drive and speed! she leads all the dogs in our pack runs and is one of the most athletic dogs on pack. She is an amazing addition to our pack and we are so lucky to have her! 🎾🎾

Our Story

Hello! My name is Kristen; I am the owner and operator of “The Pet Valet Ottawa”. I am a 28-year-old Ottawa native, dog lover, with over five years of experience. I gained my experience over the year’s pet sitting for friends and family. I have just started to branch out and accept clients outside of my social circle, and I have never been so happy. I have had dogs my whole life, mostly labs and lab mixes, and nothing brings me more joy than spending time with my dogs. I have dealt with dogs of all sizes and with many different needs, from raw diets to severe separation anxiety.

My motivation for starting this business, of pet sitting and dog walking, is to be able to do something that I am truly passionate about and love to do. I have held a career in retail for the past number of years, and although I do love helping people find the perfect product for their needs, I have come to the realization that working with animals is what truly makes me happy. I am thrilled to be fortunate enough to do what I love.

When I spend time with your pet, I treat them as if they are one of my own, I ensure that they are fed, exercised and loved. I will follow any and all of the guidelines you set out for me, and if I stay in your house you can rest assured that your home is well maintained and also cared for. Not only will I make sure that your pet is having the time of their lives, but I will also be sure to send you updates, photos and videos of your pet on a daily basis. I know while travelling it’s hard to be separated from our fur babies, therefore if I can help keep you in touch and show them the love and care that they deserve, than you can enjoy your vacation that much more. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss the needs that I can fulfill for your pet. References are available upon request.
