Where have Meadowvale riders been this fall?
Everywhere!
In August and September we had our competitive riders competing in Stevens creek Horse trials and Oakhurst Eventing derby! We’ve attended the Limerick forest poker trail ride and trailered out to Constance bay for some beautiful rides in the Torbolten forest! And of course attended most of the Ottawa Valley Hunt drag Fox hunts on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well as both of the fall Hunter paces! And …. The Hunter trials!
We also kicked off our new Equine assisted Learning (EAL) program!

Meadowvale Farm is now launching our new "Equine Experiences" program. This is an Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) program involving unmounted interactive activities with our horses to improve life skills. The program is suitable for all ages to improve confidence, leadership, communication and much more.
We are running personal development sessions, youth sessions as well as group bookings for birthdays, work teams, families and more!
No horse experience is needed!
Sessions will be taught an EAL (Equine Assisted Learning) certified coach and will run Saturday afternoons in October and November.

The ESD dressage show was a wonderful success yesterday. I saw many successful rides and lots of smiles!

If you missed out on the derby but would like to come and ride the cross country course, I will be keeping the course open for schooling from now until June 9th (weather permitting). Contact me to book a schooling session!
$50 plus HST per horse to school, bring your own coach. If you would like a cross country lesson, we can also offer that with one of our coaches.
Waiver forms must be signed.

Advanced camp: July 8-12th
Novice Camp: July 15-19th

During our novice camp riders will have a busy day riding twice per day (most days - weather permitting) and learn about horse care, horsemanship basics, including fun games and activities. This camp is suitable for novice riders who have some riding experience at walk and trot.

We are looking forward to an exciting 2024 at Meadowvale farm!

This spring we will be expanding our programs including riding lessons, leases, on site shows, derbies and day camps!

Meadowvale riders will have the opportunities to participate in off property dressage shows, Horse trials, trail rides, OVH hunts and OVH public events and more.

If you are interested in riding at Meadowvale please contact us! We are currently accepting riders with experience and will be running beginner programs starting in spring.

2024 Dates:

July 8-12th: Intermediate / Advanced riding camp
July 15-19th: Novice riding camp

May 25th: Derby and dressage schooling show
July 6th: ESD dressage show
July 14th: Derby #2

We are proud of the rebuild of the facility and are looking forward to expanding our services!

We had a great time at the Ottawa Valley Hunt’s Hunter trials yesterday! Thanks for hosting such a fun show! Congratulations to all competitors!
From Meadowvale we had Brodie, Shelby, Dianne, and Robi all attend as their first horse show! Competing over fences we had Tim, Julie, Anna and Scotia! Tim and Julie had a great pairs round but Maggie’s displeasure cost them a ribbon and Scotia and Anna had an AMAZING pairs round and jumps every jump at the same time!
Plus we had a super yummy tailgate spread!

Reminder to get your entries in for the Dressage schooling show Clinic and the Meadowvale Farm Upper Canada Derby this weekend! Closing dates are Saturday and Sunday! The cross country courses are looking fantastic and have been completely changed for this year! (I gotta take some pics!) If you’d like to school cross country or Stadium on Saturday after the dressage show the courses will be open! Contact Stephanie Calvert to arrange!
We are looking forward to restarting our shows after our rebuild!

We are looking forward to re-starting our show series at Meadowvale farm. We are running the following events this year at Meadowvale:
June 17th - Dressage schooling show Clinic
June 18th - Meadowvale Farm Upper Canada Derby
July 8th - Dressage schooling show Clinic #2
Cross country schooling (coming soon).

We are diligently working on our facilities to offer new and improved venue and courses in 2023.

The rebuild of our barn and indoor arena is coming along nicely. The building should be complete by end of March, with ongoing interior improvements after that.
We are planning to re-open for lessons April 1st (or as weather permits).
Pre-existing students should have received an email or seen the notice on our farm App “Band”.
Please contact me (Stephanie) with your lesson and lease requests. We will be working through the waiting list once existing clients are in the schedule. Thank you to everyone for your patience!

Apologies for the lack of posts …. It been just a little busy behind the scenes …. But I am excited to post that we are rebuilding bigger and better!!!
Construction has started on our new barn & arena! The new building will be wider and longer, and built with wood truss construction. I am including a number of improvements with our rebuild and am so excited for what we will be able to offer next year!
I will try to post more frequent updates as construction progresses. A huge thank you to all of Meadowvale’s supporters who have helped make this rebuild possible ❤️❤️❤️ and thanks to Derricks Construction for prioritizing our project this fall so that can have a better winter.

Faith is looking for a new home. Faith is a beautiful sweet quarter horse mare who we hate to see go, but needs a lighter workload. She would be a great companion horse, brood mare or light riding horse. She is safe and well trained. Looking for the best home for her. Please PM Stephanie Calvert to enquire.
