These amazing and delicious dill pickles will go straight into making my Mario's Kick Hot Sauce & BBQ Jalapeños Dill hot sauce to be release at Heating up the Capital sept 14th! They're not only delicious, they are handcrafted by Prickly dill out of Orleans!

I never cheap out on ingredients and always try to source my ingredients locally 😀

Very excited to release my line of Mario's Kick Hot Sauce & BBQ Mustards! Original (no heat), Jalapeños and Cayenne! Made from fermented peppers at our Four Green Thumbs - Quatre Pouces Verts farm!

I'm at the Metcalfe Farmers' Market nignt market tonight from 5pm to 8pm!

I will also release a Dill Pickle Jalapeños Hot sauce for the Heating up the Capital sept 14th! You don't have your tickets, what are you waiting for! If you're not a fan of hot sauce ni worries! There will be 50 sauce makers of all kinds there!

Mind blowing the amount of Jalapeños over the past 3 weeks! This is today's harvest which is 18.5kg and represents 2 out of 5 rows. Last week's harvest for all 5 rows was 10kg.

We found twins too!

This is it! As of 2pm today the 2024 hot pepper plants are in the ground! Lots of Mario's Kick Hot Sauce & BBQ coming your way in 2025!

The past week has been tough on those seedlings! Daily manual watering along with the irrigation system enabled the survival of about 98% of them. New leaves are forming which is good news.

Field improvements is on the agenda for this fall to double up the production.

Hot pepper planting has begun! Close to 1000 plants this year including a greenhouse (no cover on yet) to extend the season for our superhots (scorpion, ghost and reaper).

Reusable in between row ground cover for w**d control and as usual biodegradable row cover.
