3 year old Fleetwood bred c**t

Sired by our ROLLIN IN MY DUALLY and out of the mare SPARKIN GUN by SIMPLY A SPARK. This c**t is a grandson of both CD Olena and Simply A Spark (full brother to Shining Spark). Cooper is a super quiet minded, well put up c**t who has been lightly started under saddle in the round pen. He's easy to be around, catch, he's foot broke, easy to trailer load, no vices whatsoever. Attended this AQHA event, and I would recommend for anyone in the equine business. They brought in speakers and sponsors and worked it all out to make it quite affordable to do some continued education.

There were sessions on Social License to Operate, Horse Health, Equine Law, Insurance, Finance, tips on Client Communication, Finance, Marketing, Mental Wellness, and last but not least, some good old fashioned networking opportunities! I enjoyed my time learning and meeting like-minded people.

Now - next up is AQHA Convention in March - who's attending?!

It’s amazing how good things feel when you have the right horse!
I ride a lot of horses that come from all walks of life. I have had horses from almost each kind of upbringing be awesome model citizens, and then from the same circumstances get a horse I would never want to own.
I saw a horse recently that I started a couple years ago that the owner paid $300 for at an auction. That horse was spectacular for me to start, I really enjoyed him. And the owner has had nothing but good things to say since. But I would say that is not the case with the majority of horses in similar circumstances.
Pictured below is Silver Assured, he is a stallion I trained for Fleetwood Farms Quarter Horses. This is a horse that was selectively bred for many desired traits including his spectacular mind. He has such a nice balance of athletic and easy going. I have had the chance to ride and own many of his offspring, which all have had his same temperament. One of the c**ts I owned by him is now in North Dakota and Just won a saddle in an open show circuit as a three year old, being ridden by a thirteen year old girl! My personal up and comer “Kinky” is by this stallion. I also just purchased a 2024 weanling of his too.
While I do recommend breeding to Silver Assured or buying his offspring my purpose in this post is that out of all the horses I ride if you want the best odds of success it is best to do some research, find a horse that has been selectively bred for the traits you desire. Ask about the sire and dam. It will likely cost significantly more upfront, but feeding them will be the same, training will be the same or less, and the years to come are far more likely to be everything you wanted! We are all in deferent circumstances and that can play a factor in our horse purchase decisions. As a trainer who has ridden hundreds of equines this is my experience and best advice!

I've always thought that sunlight and silver go really well together!

This is one of the quietest minded stallions you could ever hope to know. We see him, for years and years now, consistently sire foals with the same type of mind as he has; quiet, brave, easy, steady, consistent. He's homozygous for extension (black) and I absolutely believe if we could test for the genes that make great disposition, he'd be homozygous for that, too.
