What an amazing herd both holsteins and jerseys.

The past few weeks have been challenging navigating the big questions of how do we best manage seasonal conditions, drop in milk price and the ever creeping cost of fodder. Today was a little special though and gave us a friendly reminder to not get lost in the details and take time to appreciate what we have.

A random message at around 2pm from Bloyce Thompson from Eastside Holsteins, PEI, Canada caught us by surprise; wondering if it would be ok to visit and see some cows. Of course we said yes!

In the process we were reminded of 2 valuable lessons.

🐮 There is value in maintaining a social media page that features the cows and elements of the farm we’re proud of. You never know who might find you on Google.

🐮Always keep your farm and cows at a standard that you’re ok with anyone dropping by to visit.

We appreciate Bloyce & Terri visiting, and wish them safe travels!
