At Stewart Sporthorses, we are committed to a positive environment for horse and rider development and success. We love promoting safe and fun dressage, eventing, and general horsemanship activities at all levels. Since 2021, we are refocusing our time and attention to our personal horses, but we are always happy to answer questions or volunteer to help eager equestrian enthusiasts. Reba is curren

tly a National Coach Certification Program (NCCP), Equestrian Canada (EC) instructor with Horse Trials New Brunswick (HTNB) mentorship certificate. Her degrees in Kinesiology and Medicine, along with vast experience in various equestrian disciplines, helped Reba develop plans that adapted to the level of horses and riders. At this time, Reba has turned her attention to her role as a physician and her own competitive riding. She is not accepting students, horses for training, or sales horses at this time; instead look for her and Delikat in a dressage ring near you! Instructor and rider Stephane started riding as an adult and quickly developed great feel for the more sensitive horses. He has dabbled in dressage, eventing, and jumpers - but says XC is the place to be! He is a NCCP / EC certified instructor. Rider Level prep is a special interest for Stephane as he believes the Learn to Ride program builds well rounded horsepeople. He also serves as horse hauler, handyman, merchandise manager, jump builder and more. Stephane is passionate about supporting riders and eventing facilities in the maritimes. Coach Jane is an EC certified Competition Coach with EC Licensed Coach status. She has 50 years experience in the industry over various disciplines from barrel racing to cattle penning to eventing! Combine that with her years of school teaching experience and you get her patient, systematic approach to producing rider of all riders and skill levels.

Living my dream! 🥹 2024 was in some ways a surprising season. It was filled with change, learning, friends, goals, and newfound confidence in a variety of settings. It will go down in the books as one of my all time favourites

and myself finish with a total of 7 awards at Bronze, Silver, and GOLD 🏅😱 levels through the Equestrian Canada Dressage Achievement Recognition Program. Between these two 🦄unicorns🦄, we competed at training, first, third, fourth, and PSG levels in all 3 Maritime provinces 🤪 Laughing and happy crying all along the way - who says you can’t do it all??

Thank you for another great year of showing and for recognizing dressage riders’ successes through this program. It’s a nice way to set goals, a reminder to only compete with myself, and a fun way to track progress. I highly recommend registering for this program 🤩

Picaroon ( ) had his first adventure away from home this weekend and blew us all away with his sweet and brave attitude! He is proving all the time why he is a special horse for the future.

Papi was a star from start to finish including Training Level Champ and high score of the day at the Saturday show at Up West Equestrian, then came back Sunday for a lesson with judge and clinician Lynne Poole.

So excited for some of our favourite events of the season, this year with FREESTYLES💃🏻

We had the best time debuting our Swiftie freestyle last year, hoping to see lots of horses and riders dancing to music in 2024! Not sure where to start? We worked with Sweney Productions - Custom Musical Freestyles from start to finish but they also offer packages for parts of the process - choreography, music selection, music editing, even fully custom created music. It was a great experience and super way to get started - now’s the time!

Equestrian Canada Équestre Dressage Achievement Program

This program is so cool! If you attend EC Gold dressage shows at training level or above, your scores are eligible for achievement awards to celebrate your success! A few tweaks to the program this year make the awards much more achievable for us in the maritimes with limited opportunities to compete. Check out the requirements for your level at the link - in short, technical awards require 4 eligible scores from at least 2 different shows. One time cost of the program is $75 for rider or horse (we did both!) and you are enrolled for life! It can even be retroactive from last year even if you join today, as long as at least one score is from 2023.

Program overview: https://tinyurl.com/ECrecognition
Award criteria: https://tinyurl.com/ECcriteria

All about you, your horse, and your own achievements - rather than comparing to others. It has really shaped the way we set goals and plan our show season. Last year we earned a beautiful medal for horse and rider, a certificate, and a rider lapel pin in addition to the accomplishment being listed on EC profiles forever!

This year, we have earned another Silver Medal at Third Level as well as a new Silver Medal and rider lapel pin at Fourth Level! The last show of the season with Dressage New Brunswick will determine if we have the scores for a freestyle award as well.

** I am not affiliated with the administration of this program, just love it and think it is underutilized

⭐️professional braiding available⭐️
for Dressage New Brunswick in Sussex September 15-17

Let me be your braid fairy!

My years of experience can take some of the stress out of your show weekend. I bring all the supplies, you just provide a clean mane and a horse that won’t eat me. I will make your mane show ring ready to shine at any level ✨

Dutch/scallop dressage braids, roughly 6-8 sewn in with wax thread
Friday evening $45
Saturday or Sunday $55

I personally take my horse’s braids out daily and rebraid each morning, but these braids can and do LAST ALL WEEKEND if you choose. In this case, touch ups are not commonly needed but I will be around each morning from 6-9am to make sure my work is still intact.

Message me Reba Fournier to book 🙂
