Pet and Wildlife Rescue

Pet and Wildlife Rescue P.A.W. Rescue helps local Chatham-Kent pets! We strive to promote compassion towards all animals. Pet and Wildlife Rescue (P.A.W.R.)

is a non-profit rescue organization operating out of Chatham-Kent Ontario. PAWR is dedicated to four primary objectives:

- Providing animal control for all of Chatham-Kent
- Re-homing local domestic animals who are homeless.
- Lowering the number of stray animals within the community.
- Ensuring orphaned and injured wildlife receive proper care, rehabilitation and reintroduction to the wild
- Educating the public and advocating on behalf of all animals.

I might be only 5 months old, but Iโ€™ve already got a big personality to match my maybe-Mastiff mix size. When I first came to the shelter with my sister, Iโ€™ll admit, I was a little shyโ€”a classic case of โ€œnew kid jitters.โ€ But guess what? With some love, snacks, and plenty of "Who's a good boy?!" affirmations (spoiler: it's me), Iโ€™ve bloomed into a fun-loving, tail-wagging charmer! ๐ŸŽ‰

Hi there, are you missing your shadow? Don't worry, I've got you coveredโ€”I'll follow you everywhere like a little, adorable lightning bolt! My name's Pikachu, and just like my name suggests, I'm ready to be your electric new best friend. Iโ€™m a young, sweet Chihuahua mix who loves to be right by your side, whether itโ€™s going for walks (letโ€™s team up for a game of Pokรฉmon Go!) or snuggling up for a cozy nap.

Iโ€™m great with kids, calm dogs, and cats who keep to themselves (although I may try to show the cats who's boss, once I feel safe!). At Pet and Wildlife Rescue, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for the incredible Kindergarten students at ๐‡๐š๐ซ๐ฐ๐ข๐œ๐ก ๐‘๐š๐ฅ๐ž๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐ฎ๐›๐ฅ๐ข๐œ ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ in Blenheim, ON. These young changemakers, guided by their amazing teachers, embarked on a mission to spread kindness far and wide. Through their โ€œ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Š๐ข๐ง๐๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌโ€ challenge, they reminded us all of the power of compassion and community.

These bright young souls baked treats for neighbors, created heartfelt cards, donated toys, helped clean up their neighborhoods, and even returned grocery cartsโ€”all to make their community a little brighter. And as if that wasnโ€™t enough, they turned their acts of kindness into a gift for the animals at PAWR, ๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ž $๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ to help care for our furry friends.

Your kindness is a shining example of what it means to make the world a better place, and we are deeply touched by your thoughtfulness and generosity.
