Cree'Ation Farm We are seasonal growers and producers. All produce is grown in pesticide, herbicide, fungicide and manure free soil. All product is artisan crafted.

Colour change is a normal occurrence in low sugar, natural jams. It does not change the quality or taste of product. Herbs are dried naturally without additives. Jams and conserves are made in small batches with low sugar and certified organic ingredients including natural pectin. Vegetables are grown from our own seed or purchased from certified organic seed sellers. While working in Kelowna for

a fruit production company, my jams have been picked up by 4 star restaurants and hotels in Kelowna including Bakeries in the Kootenay region (2013/2014). I have been published in KCTS 9 Cooks (2007). Won 1st and 2nd prize for my recipe submissions in the Kelowna Peach Festival (1992/1993). Developed a wheat free/sugar free muffin formula for testing at the Fraser Institute of Technology that would be safe for Diabetics (1992). I have worked and managed in the food industry for over 30 years. I am a member of the Cowessess Cree First Nations in Saskatchewan but I grew up working in gardens all my life in the interior of BC where I graduated from planting and harvesting to full canning and preserving by age 12. I have now resided on Vancouver Island for almost 20 years and the biggest challenge for me was learning about the different micro climates, the rain and last but not least, the slug and snail which is very different for me having come from the prairies and the interior of BC. But food growing and production has always been a passion of mine and a way of life. My own children were raised with gardens and worked them as well. I hold a Food Safety Level I certificate. I use only the finest quality of ingredients that I have grown myself or from others who maintain the same high level of standards in sustainable food growing and food safety practices. Our latest addition to the Farmer's Lunch line, at the urging of Yvonne A. Berrey a number of years ago, we made Tomato Basil Jam. It is good and is e###xxcellent with bagels and cream cheese. We made mini, triple layer, Bourbon Chocolate Cake for Father's Day. (It is this weekend isn't it?) We'll be at the today between 10am and 5pm. We have Marmalade, Very Berry jam, Ketchup from our own tomatoes and our version of Mango Katki, a South Indian pickled mango but ours is more like relish. I will be here with my own stuff but NOT as Cree'Ation Farm. I've got vintage jewelry, home decor, clothes (lots of mini skirts as I have painstakingly come to realize that it is time to step aside and let the next generation take over). Tarot cards, books. We will be at the Chemainus Public Market today between 10am -5pm. Well we sure hope everyone is having a fantastic start to the new year. We've been busy organizing our seed while getting ready for another season (never a dull moment around here). We are officially CLOSED FOR THE SEASON but would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. We are looking at setting up in a new location. Still within Chemainus but we will certainly keep that updated as we move closer to the new season. In the meantime, Cheers to a fantastic journey ahead in the new year.
