Saturday August 24 | 9 AM to 10 AM | body.by.jo will be hosting and our puppies will be there 🐶 to give everyone lots of love and cuddles 🥰

No naughty 😈 dogs 🐕 I’ll say it again there are NO naughty dogs. The only thing “knotty” here is this cool sign from

✅ There are bored dogs
✅ Dogs with certain jobs
✅ Puppies being puppies
✅ Dogs with specific medical needs
✅ Those dogs who have anxiety, need more space, or don’t need to like everyone or every dog 🐕
✅ Oh and people who are learning what their dogs needs are, how to communicate with them as well as advocate for them 🫶🏻
*This list is just a small example of things humans can label as knotty dogs*

Everyone starts somewhere but I’ll always encourage others who need help with communicating with their doggos to seek out R+ trainers and seek advice from their vet.

The Stella de Continental litter has a few puppies 🐶 that are looking for their forever homes at the end of August (application required or message us if you have more questions).

Puppies will come with ckc non breeding papers, well socialized, 8 week vaccinations, microchipped, multiple deworming, start of potty & crate training, blanket with mom & littermates scent, kibble, and gifts (leash, harness and more, valued at over $400).

SUNS OUT ☀️ TONGUES OUT 🥵

Odin says hey hoomans here are a few things to remember as it’s now warmer outside ☀️

Flea & Tick Season 🪳

When it’s over 4 degrees outside we need your help to stay protected against fleas and ticks. Those yucky bugs can make us itchy, sick, they pose a health risk for us as well as yourself and your home. Please speak to your vet about a routine for flea and tick medicine 💊 Pills are more effective and usually cover a broader scope for pests. Ask your vet about medications like Simparica Trio (pups under 6 months, monthly treatment) or Bravecto (every 3 months). You can also ask your vet about the Lyme vaccine to help protect us if we are bitten by ticks. Avoiding long grass, and doing flea/ tick checks after walks and hikes is a good practice.

Heat 🔥stroke or heat exhaustion 🥵

Puppies, senior dogs and certain breeds (brachycephalic breeds like frenchies) are more at risk and prone to overheating. Few tips 👇🏻

🐾 Please don’t leave us in the car, even with the windows cracked temperatures can reach over 40-50 degrees within a matter of minutes
🐾 Short walks, early mornings or later evenings when it’s cooler is best when temperatures are over 28-30 degrees
🐾 Pavement test, if you can’t walk on the surface without playing hot potato 🥔 then neither can we, please don’t make us do walkies on hot surfaces as we can get bad burns or injuries. Our hooman says we know of a dog whose paws were cut open/ severely injured from running on hot pavement playing fetch when it was hot outside.
🐾 Cooling pads (winners and pet stores often sells these) are a great way to stay cool or cool down after a hot day/ walk. Our hooman likes to keep ours in the fridge and pull them out after a walk. You can also take a towel, get it damp and put it in the freezer. Anything to help us stay cool is appreciated!
🐾 Cooling harnesses and bandannas are also helpful and great to have on during walks. We also like kiddie pools, ice cubes, frozen blueberries 🫐 and homemade ice fruit treats!
🐾 Bring along water for longer outings, walks and activities to help us stay hydrated.

Puppies are now almost 4 weeks old! Where has the time gone 🤯😮😳 They are learning to play with toys, walk on different surfaces, finding their voices and teeth have arrived 😬 Don’t worry though as they’ll get their first taste of puppy mush soon so Phoebe gets some relief from nursing!
