Community Support Group for Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse tomorrow at 7pm.

Supporting Survivors Of Childhood Sexual Abuse. Creating a safe space to meet survivors, while letting you know you’re not alone. I want to build a community filled with compassion, support and connection. I believe you 💜
We meet for 2 hours once a month, we come in, find a seat, or hang in the kitchen, enjoy a tea, participate in an activity (if you choose).

We share what’s helped us along our healing journey, you never know, what has worked for you might be what helps another. Sharing is definitely caring, however, we don’t encourage talking about what we went through as a child. Everyone is at a different point in their healing journey, we are not counsellors, we are all survivors and we are not there to trigger anyone.
Yes, your story is important, it’s yours, and it’s yours to tell, but, only when you feel ready to. If you want to share your story, please reach out, we have to check in with everyone, we need to be able to hold space for you and give you the support you need.

We are there to be a supportive community for each other.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, February 21st from 7-9pm and we will continue to meet on the third Wednesday of every month. We meet at The Métis House on the Stó:lō unceded traditional territory. This is a free event to join, all survivors welcome.

Life has been full of car rides, he loves car rides, but he hates car washes. He’s a good boy when he’s wearing his work vest, we’ve been train in Canadian Tire, and when we’re at the hockey rinks. He loves his daily walks, especially now that he gets to go off leash. He is way more brave and he comes to me when I call him. We meet so many dogs on our walks and he gets along with them all 🐕‍🦺🐾
He’s getting better with the people at the hockey games, and he’s no longer alarmed with any bells and horns, he gets a special treat when they score, so it’s definitely a celebration, not a panic. He likes his treats😆🐕‍🦺🐾

Last night I got to go to work for mom at the game🏒🥅🐕‍🦺
It was night presented by so it was a lot quieter than a usual game. I was hardly phased and slept during most of the game, unless of course, my mom got too excited, then I had to check in with her to make her pet me to calm her down🐾 I’m a good boy🐕‍🦺❤️

I ordered more bookmarks to paint 👩🏻‍🎨🎨🙏🏻💜
There seems to be only 10 left at The Bookman, meaning 40 have sold and all mostly at The Book Man 🙏🏻🥰❤️ All the money from those go into Eddie’s account. Right now we’re saving up to get him neutered and that’s going to happen after February 18th when he’s 6 months.
Puppy classes resume February 3rd I think 🤔 with Northwest Dog Training Academy at Mr Pets Chilliwack.
He has his next grooming appointment on February 7th with Uppercuts Grooming Salon🐕‍🦺

Today Eddie hung out at the arena with me while O did family drop in hockey with a friend🏒🥅🚨
He did so good, totally used to the noice of pucks hitting the boards, and most other arena noises. He’s definitely distracted when children come around, but when I get him to focus and regroup, he does better. Today I only had to ask him to come back to his blanket once. He was such a good boy. 🥰🐕‍🦺❤️

My friend gave us this piece of fake grass, or whatever it’s called, to put over the mud to help with what comes in with Eddies big hairy paws 🐾 Eddie loves it. He tries to dig, he rolls around on it and he always brings something out to lay there and chew. Here I’m asking him to leaf the leaf alone 🤣🐕‍🦺❤️
He has no issue with this cold 🥶

Posted • It was wet and cold, but hubby bought me waterproof hiking boots, and a winter coat, seriously, I love them so much🥰 I stayed warm, and the wind didn’t take my hood off🙌 Eddie loves any weather, so I have to be ready to be out in it no matter what. Finally, I am covered 🙏🏻🥰❤️🐾🐕‍🦺

Life has been nice and quiet this holiday season, something I think we all needed to put an end to 2023. Starting 2024 calm and quiet has been just what I needed to reset. Now bring on the year🥳
