In search of: Sunday Morning help.

We are looking for a bright and pleasant individual with horse experience to cover Sunday morning turn out and chores. This is roughly 3 hours of work.

7 am start
$60 per Sunday

I often get questions about this so I wanted to give some insight on our routine here at Bohan.

🌞 Over summer our horses spend time out on pasture and stay out in their paddocks overnight to encourage as much movement as possible.

🌧 During rain season horses are out in their paddocks during the day and we bring them into the barn at night.

Personally, I was never a fan of boxstalls but over the years I've grown more fond of them. Out here on the "wet coast" it's really nice to give their feet a chance to dry and the paddocks a rest to keep the mud away. I also really feel like they like the change of scenery and it's helpful walking them in at night and out in the morning giving us a better chance to catch lameness or a mood change early on.

Another great day of learning with lots of hands on practice. The horses soaked in all the goodness that comes with the Masterson Method and all the great energy everyone brought along with them 💖🐴

A big thank you to Lori Hoppe and her assistant Sasha. This was my first time working with a Masterson Method professional and learned things I will use on my horses for the rest of my life! So exciting, and so much more to learn. Thank you.

Bohan will now be home to only 17 horses!!
We have downsized a little and will be sticking to this number to serve the needs of our horses and boarders better 🙏❤️🐴

With that being said it creates time and space to host 1 or 2 clinics or workshops per year. We are open to hosting Natural Horsemanship, Natural hoof care, Equine massage, First aid, and obstacle course clinics and workshops.

Bohans Roundpen.

I'd say this roundpen is larger then most measuring in at 60 feet. The size was inspired by the roundpen where my love for connecting with horses started 11 years ago 🌻

Surrounded by Eucalyptus, grape vines and Willow trees, may it be a postive space of learning, connection, growth and rehabilitation for both horses and humans for many years to come 🙏💖🐴
