For Pets Sake - This week featuring a clowder of cats. Each one is great with people, but does not get along well with other cats. Each one has to be the only cat in the household. Perhaps "The Rules" limit you to only one cat; perhaps you are simply looking for the companionship of one splendid feline. Regardless, one of these cats would be perfect for you, so make an application through the Safe Haven's website and a meet and greet appointment will be set up for you to come meet a collection of cats who "do not play well with others." For Pets Sake - Meet Dagmar, a handsome 75 lb Shepherd mix looking for his furever home! Dagmar was found at large by a good Samaritan who called the CARE Centre. When we met Dagmar he was afraid and unsure, but now his future is looking up! Dagmar has played very well with other dogs at CARE, so we think he would like to find a home with another dog to help boost his confidence. He is still shy around new people, but is incredibly sweet once he knows you, and will be a devoted and loyal companion for the person who gives him a chance! We think young kids would be too overwhelming for him (teenagers would be fine) and we don’t know his history with cats. To learn more about Dagmar call the CARE Centre at 844-495-2273.

The Safe Haven features Hailey on For Pets' Sake. Although she has only been at the Safe Haven since early May, Hailey has rapidly become "The Boss," actively supervising all aspects of day-to-day operations - whether we want her to or not!
Hailey is a 7 year old "Torbie" - A tortoiseshell/tabby blend. She is laden with "torbitude," - i.e. cat sass and attitude. She is friendly, but you have to stay on your toes with her. If a cat with attitude appeals to you, please book an appointment through the Safe Haven's website and come have a visit with Hailey.

Yahtzee is looking for a family to entertain! Believed to be around a year old and a Kangal mix, this 100lb neutered male is a very sweet and playful guy!
Yahtzee always has a smile and a wiggle when he sees his people; he wants to make friends with every person he meets. Yahtzee has become besties with some other dogs at CARE and he would thrive in a home with another dog to play with. He’s a pretty polite and gentle guy, but given his size he might accidentally knock over small kids! We don’t know how he would be with cats. Yahtzee has a medium energy level and we believe he is potty trained. He walks very nicely on leash – but likes to take breaks to nap or smell the flowers! For Pets Sake - Willa was found as a stray and is believed to be a 3-4 month old, Australian Shepherd x Border Collie x Heeler cross. She's absolutely adorable and smart as a whip. Willa would thrive in an active home - possibly a future agility/ jogging/ hiking buddy? She will need a home with some experience, time and patience to fulfill her amazing potential! She could live with another dog who is tolerant of puppy antics; Willa still likes to play rough but in future may be a good match for a home with kids! Mama Goose For Pets Sake. She was pregnant when she was brought to the Haven and had 5 kittens in foster care. All her kittens have been adopted and now it's her turn.
Mama Goose is coming up on 2 years old. She is a gentle, quiet lady with beautiful sea green eyes and a nice quiet purr. She gets along well with other cats and is good with children. Say Hello to Raven!!!
This Raven is not a trickster, he is a very friendly young cat, yet another example of the wonderful "house panthers" we have at the Haven currently.

Raven is a one year old male and has been at the Haven since June 2022. His buddy River was adopted recently and we badly want him to find a home now. He loves his breakfast wet food and will purr up a storm as he eats it. He also gets along well with other cats.

Introducing Dolly! Dolly is a spayed female Lab mix with a heart of gold. Just one look into her soulful eyes and you will see how much love this sweet gal has to offer! Dolly was found as a stray so her history is unknown; she may be compatible with another dog in the home and could live with older, dog-savvy kids. Today on For Pets' Sake, it's a Black Cat Blitz. The Safe Haven currently has 26 black cats in residence and we would love to find homes for these wonderful "house panthers".
