Canada's 1st Nose Work Dog Sport Club! K9 Scentinels is a dog sport club training pet dogs in scent detection.

We encourage and support our members in participating for fun or competition in events under the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW), the Sporting Detection Dogs Association (SDDA) and other similar organizations.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make our Oct 5 Saanichton Games Trial a success. Another trial in the books! Thank you to everyone who came out to our double elite trial at Chilliwack UFV! We lucked out with the weather not being as hot as predicted, and we even had a few sprinkles of rain.
Huge thanks to our judge Danielle Getzie for setting some fun and challenging hides, and to all the amazing volunteers who helped make this event happen!

Thanks so much to everyone who helped to make our April 20th Saanichton trial a success. To our lovely judge Kathy Hansen for her thoughtful hides and helpful feedback, to all our wonderful volunteers who gave their time cheerfully and competently, to all the competitors for coming out to play with their dogs and to St Stephen’s Parish who are the most accomodating and dog friendly group I can imagine.

What a phenomenal weekend of trials we just had! Huge thanks to everyone who helped make our Agassiz trial a success; to our judge Lou-Anne Lambert, all the volunteers who gave their time to make the trial run so smoothly, all the competitors who came out to play with their dogs, and to West Coast Robotics for allowing us to use their facility!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Langley trial this weekend at the lovely Loft Country Farms. We had the pleasure of presenting:
- 8 first Advanced titles
- 2 first Excellent titles
- 1 SD-Champion title
- 2 SD-Master Champion titles
Congratulations to everyone!

We also presented a big beautiful Judges Choice basket each day donated by Simply Natural Raw Pet Food that was filled with amazing goodies!!

A huge thank you to our judge Doug Wilson from Merville, BC who set up some fun searches and gave great debriefs at the end of the day!

Also to our wonderful volunteers, we couldn't do it without you and we appreciate you so much!

The stats from the trial are below. (Although Advanced was run on the Sunday, the workbook is limited to only so many dogs per level per day so it's been split up with the Working stream teams on Day 1 and the Amateur stream teams on Day 2.)

Here's a quick clip showing how we use a soldering iron to vent our plastic boxes for trials. This tool is available for $20 at Canadian Tire. Do this outside because it does stink, and very important - work from the underside of the lid. Close up photos of the holes are in the comments.
