Quite often we get asked or told by clients “ Man I’d Love to pet and play with puppies/dogs/kitties all day” or “ I couldn’t imagine being stressed with your job, or What is the most Challenging part of your jobs as groomers?

Well…. It’s exactly this… think of your dog with its own shining personality add a little Tourette’s and a sprinkle of ADHD and Voila…. You’ve got a day in the life of a Groomer !!! 🤣😅

💥 Attention 💥 Prairie Pets Family! First and foremost I want to thank all of your for your on going support, we are incredibly appreciative of each and every one of you ❣️🐶❣️ Coming into the New Year there are going to be a few changes: 1) Lacey’s hours will be changing as per the post to Mon- Thursday 8-3pm. ( although Alanna’s Grooming works with me at the salon she does not adhere to these Hours as she books her own clients by appointment) 2) pick up is no later than 3-3:30 unless otherwise specified by the groomer. We typically give 20-30mins notice to when your pup is going to be finished and ready for pick up if you do not show up within that time you will be charged a late pick up fee of $10 for every 5 mins after the 30
Min window is given. Showing up early is just as bad as it unsettles your dog on the table and often we cannot get a nice finish as a result. 3) Going forward Lacey will no longer be accepting NEW Large/ XL breed dogs over 75-80lbs at this time. Existing clients excluded, if Lacey can no longer do your dog and you are an existing client she will contact you individually. ( IF YOUR Large breed dogs has not been to us within the last 6 month period you will be considered a new client )
4) texting is preferred as calls may not be answered during the work day as our environment can be loud and we are busy with our clients for the day. we will do our best to get back to everyone in 24-48hours due to the high velocity of calls/text/social media messages. 5) Those of you who are recurring Saturday Clients, I have talked to each of you about the changes to these appointments. I will NOT be accepting any NEW Saturday clients. 5) We are by appointment business, google does not allow for this to be an options if the OPEN sign is NOT ON, we are simply NOT OPEN and will NOT answer the door. Yes this is a residence… but we are NOT a 24/7 business.

GONE FISHING for the day 🙃 aka a medical apt with specialist in Calgary. We will be closing at 10am, all morning appointments will be honoured! However pick up absolutely needs to be at 10am. If you are late at all for your appointment it will be refused and you will have to take our next available appointment which BTW is in March!

Pipe Burst…. No water for Christmas 😅😳 We are currently, under siege lol due to a water pipe bursting… which means no water! We are having a plumber come but can you believe they are all so busy it took calling about 7-10 till we actually found someone to come out and help us out of this soggy situation! Thank you to Rusty’s Plumbing in Taber who actually took the time out of their busy schedule to come unfrazzle my frizzle 🤣
