Come in to meet some of the wonderful cats we have available! Also, this afternoon, we will have a couple guinea pigs on site for adoption as well.

🚨Adoption Alert Northumberland Humane Society🚨 Introducing the amazing, cuddly and snuggly Mr Pickles. We’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Mr Pickles over the last week here in our adoption centre, and we must say he is one of the cutest, calmest cats we’ve had here!

Mr Pickles would love to meet you! Mr Pickles is in need of special and patience owners. He is FIV+ so he would be best suited as a single cat or with another cat who is also FIV+.

Don’t let FIV make you hesitant! Many cats who have this condition lead long, healthy lives!

We tried Chloe in store and she was just a little too nervous for the retail life, but she is a wonderful cat and would be a great addition to your home. If you’re interested we can give you some more information about her in store and even have applications for you to fill out!

We had the bestest boy in today! Fun Fact: Ferrets are obligate Carnivores and need a high protein diet throughout their entire lives!

We wanted to Celebrate our 1st and our 100th plus everyone in between!

Thank you so much to the Cobourg Community and surrounding area. Since we opened Dec 6th 2021 we have been able to help 100 pets find their furever homes!

Our first, Nuage, went home in February 2022 and Tim Hortons our 100th went home last week.

Have you ever seen more beautiful eyes on a creature! 😲😲

We wanted to wish everyone a Happy International Lizard day and highlight one of the best lizards for young teens and families!

Leopard geckos are very fascinating creatures and once you have a routine established can be a fairly low maintenance pet!

They enjoy a varied diet of bugs with a staple of crickets every 2-3 days once they’re adult!

They love to bask, and once they get to know their human (aka food source) they will come right up and greet you at the glass.

We say this is a great beginner animal because they need very basic lighting/heating, can thrive on a small varied food supply consisting bugs and can be very social if consistently handled!

As Christmas 2022 approaches we know a lot of kids will be asking for pocket pets for the holidays. We absolutely love this as we know passion for animals starts at a young age.

Leading up to the day we would highly encourage all future pet grandparents to give us a call or visit us in store in order to get all the information on proper housing, diet, interactions and introductions! Our staff is here to assist in order to help with the transition of your new family members!

We have two skinny pigs, Pudding and Neillie. (Females)

A skinny and a Guinea, Mr. Mabel and Moose. (Male neutered and female)

Two Guinea’s who are mother and Daughter Buttercup and Chi Chi.
