Puppy packages arrived yesterday! Thank YOU!
Pups are eating mushy kibble with the step 2 milk replacement for extra nourishment. We're feeding mom several small meals a day, she finally realizing there is no shortage of food here *and a whole lotta love!

We LOVE to shop local and we are grateful for the support of our Northumberland community.
Thanks to All Creatures Great and Small Cobourg in Cobourg they have set up a buying for mom and pups account for things we'll be using until the dogs are fully vetted, and gain a few lbs.
Pups were born Nov 22 and are now separated from Mom giving her a much welcome break.
A BIG thanks to owner/operator Theresa Rickerby who is always ready to jump in and help the commity we have come to know and love ❤️.

Well this doggie coat has SURE seen its fair share of dogs! Momma Sadie is enjoying coming from -45 degrees, chained outdoors to 72 degrees in her kennel area. She's a bit confused but is handling the change extremely well. *she knows where to come back in to the warmth, she's a quick study! ❤️
Our little family will be out to the vet next week. 🐾🐾

Mom Sadie and her two pups have arrived, marking the beginning of their bright new future. To help Mom regain her strength, she'll enjoy several nourishing meals throughout the day, while the playful puppies embark on their journey of discovery. Despite the long and challenging trip from Northern Ontario to Colborne, everyone's perseverance has paid off. Mom is now savoring a bully stick and relaxing in her cozy new bed ❤️. Stay tuned for updates on their heartwarming progress!

Mom and 2 of these lucky puppies are on their way across Ontario to the rescue retreat!
850 km
We're excited to welcome them.
A big thanks to Cassandra at Moose Factory animal control for advocating to get these dogs into rescue. Thank you, Robin Thompson for helping with transport from Orilla to Bowmanville where we'll pick em' up and get them settled into a warm bed and plenty of love! ❤️🐾🐾

HUGO - Mix Hugo is a rescue dog. He is the most loveable dog. He was at a rescue retreat for awhile and the rescue retreat rehabilitated HUGO to be an amazing sweet boy.

WELCOME Beauregard! ❤️
After a 450 km drive THANKS to Critter Cabs Animal Rescue Transport volunteers, Beau has finally arrived in Colborne!
He's a thin, SWEETIE who is exploring the yard, has a keen interest in meeting Miss Dixie. *she's one popular gal with the boys! 😉
Beau has been neutered by shelter partners Pet and Wild Life Rescue in Chattam and will be out to our vet for additional shots and bloodwork to make sure he is healthy and well.
He appears to be food motivated, and happy go lucky!

Updates will be posted as always on our Ruff Start New Beginnings Rescue rescue retreat visitors page, until we know more about this handsome fellow.
At just 39 lbs he'll soon fill out with some good food and a whole lotta love!

EXCITING ADOPTION NEWS! 🐾🐾

We are overjoyed to announce the finalized adoption of Tupper. (F) Happy Tail #1903. Thank you, Christina and family, for fostering to adopt and giving Tupper a second chance at a happy life. Tupper has been with the family for about a month, allowing her to settle in and get to know her new surroundings. She has been enjoying daily walks with her new brother, exploring new territories and creating unforgettable memories. Today, we received the wonderful news that this beautiful gal will be staying put. The family has shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity, with Christina finding comfort in Tupper's companionship during her grief in losing her Mom. As always, we are committed to supporting the lives of all RSNB dogs, offering guidance and training suggestions to ensure their well-being. We are thrilled that Tupper has found her forever home and we wish the family many joyous years together, filled with love, laughter, and adventure. ❤️.
