Floki has a friend 🧡 Jack has joined us to be weaned. He seems to quite like Floki and Floki has become a solid role model for Jack who is only 1 month younger. Jack is a super c**t by Otamemdi and out of a Riot event mare owned by Ash Bakes.

It was really nice to see Heiress' half sibling by Dannebrog out of Sandro's Sunrise who was probably THE best behaved horse in the ring yesterday! Owned by Tina Marie Thompson and shown by Madeline Sanders. She received 8th place in the Governor General Cup and a Reserve in the Lt.Governor's Cup class!

It was so nice to see Henry today! Congratulations to Wendy and her team for a second place in the Yearling class at the Royal! Henry was extremely well behaved and has gotten super tall!!!

Conrad Homfeld riding Abdullah, at the 1984 Summer Olympics, 1984. Homfeld won silver in the individual jumping event

Abdullah was purchased by Williamsburg Farm in 1973 as a three-year-old from Gerhard Schickedanz, Ontario, Canada. He was originally bought as an event prospect and breeding stallion,and proved himself first in the dressage arena and then in eventing before becoming a world-class show jumper.

The gray Trakehner stallion will best be remembered for his 1984 Olympic performance in show jumping with his rider Conrad Homfeld. Their brilliant clear round in the Team Competition clinched the first team gold medal for the United States. They went on to win the Olympic silver medal in the individual competition.

Abdullah and Conrad continued to re-write the record book by winning the 1985 World Cup in Berlin and at the age of 15 yrs they again won a first Team Gold medal at the 1986 World Championships, Aachen, where Abdullah was the World Champion horse of the competition.

During his long career he won Grand Prix competitions with Joe Fargis and Debbie Stephens as well as Conrad Homfeld. Abdullah was one of the first warmblood jumper stallions and with his many victories he was in great demand as a sire of performance horses. Most recently, Abdullah was honored as one of the top 50 horses of the century by "The Chronicle of The Horse".

Another couple of photos of Hendrix HH who just turned 4! This was Vanbrook Equestrian trillium at Findaway, his first outdoor show!
Kaitlin says ; "He is so great, he has a nice floaty trot and big rocking canter, he’s going to make a great hunter in the future for sure!!"
