The VDRC is extremely proud to present Nate Tucker in clinic April 18th, 19th, & 20th!

Nate grew up in Canada as a working student for Joanne Bouwhuis, CDI3* dressage judge. After graduating from Olds College he ventured south of the border to Wellington, FL grooming for various international show jumpers. He then returned to the dressage scene working for Ashley Holzer. Nate managed the day to day operations of Ashley's facility, which is not only the primary base for her personal competition horses, but also the winter base for the Canadian Olympic Dressage Team.

For the past 6 years Nate has travelled with Ashley between the USA and across Europe. He went on numerous shopping trips, visiting countless sales barns and was able to see the daily operations in breeding/training/sales barns across the world. During this time he was able to have his ow horses, as well as client horses training for the purpose of competition and sales.

Nate has now moved back to Canada to focus on his own career and share his knowledge with others.

Please join us at 6pm for a potluck and at 7pm the meeting starts. There are some amazing silent auction items up for grabs and an early bird membership draw for an instant hot horse shower! Plus all the annual VDRC awards will be handed out. Looking forward to seeing you all at the beautiful new Coldstream Hall on Thursday night! P.S. feel free to come early (5:30) to help set up. Do you like to work outdoors? Do you like the idea of a flexible schedule? Are you looking for part-time work that uses your skills? Do you like to work independently but also like to develop connections with others and be part of a wider community? VDRC is looking for a groundskeeper. This person will be responsible for the maintenance of club grounds, facilities and equipment. It’s a great job with super flexible hours. Position starts in Spring 2025. Here’s what we know, that VDRC is more than just a riding club, it is a community, and a part of a greater community here in Vernon/Coldstream and the Okanagan.

As a part of taking great pride in our club it also requires the investment of help from our community making sure that it is cared for and prepped for the next season and we need your help doing just that. Join us for a clean up day this coming Sunday, Oct 27th from 10 - 1 pm.

Members, this is an opportunity to check the box of completing your volunteer hours and this is a critical part of our memberships because it takes a village! Maybe you can come as a barn group/team or as friends/family, come for the hours you need to fulfill for your membership or give the gift of time and donate an extra hour. Every hour helps!

Our club is worth this effort, please come help us clean up our club! Together we can keep our beautiful Vernon District Riding Club beautiful!
