🙌 its best to start in puppyhood, but it needs to continue regularly into adulthood - this goes for grooming too, pets have so much more success when they are groomed often, trained & socialized to the grooming experience and importantly creating a trusting relationship with the groomer caring for them 💓

Pups learn fast and as they move into adolescence they will continue to need your guidance by practicing everything you taught in real life situations or you might find you lack of follow through, consistency and patience will lead to unwanted behaviors and a dog who won’t listen to you any more. It’s not their fault. They aren’t trying to dominate you or test you, you just stopped practicing.

The good news is getting back on track is easy once you start up again.

Meet the majestic Jedi, He enjoyed his first full spaw day of a bath, brush & blowdry, mat removal , paw pad & sanitary trim. Jedi is a true Maine c**n & likely the largest cat I groom .. would you believe this stud muffin is only 9 months old!! Still just a kitten 🙈 He did really well even when he was not impressed by my grooming antics, I look forward to seeing him for more spaw days & watching him grow 🥰
