Mandie took to her first session to help with a torn CCL like a seasoned pro! She certainly made herself right at home in the water and got to show off what those big webbed paws are made for. Surgery may still be in the cards for her, so keeping her strong & comfortable in the meantime, while also getting her introduced to what her sessions could look like post-op will greatly benefit her both in the short and long term 🐾

Meet Chico the Chihuahua! Chico has bilateral luxating patella's that have been causing his hind legs to weaken & occasionally give out from underneath him as he walks. He's here working on building muscle to better support & stabilize his knees so the frequency of dislocations lessens and he can get back to living a stronger, comfortable, more mobile life 🐾💪

Cyrano is a wonderful 13 year old Briard who's starting to show his age in the form of joint stiffness and hind end weakness. These issues have been making it difficult for this big guy to complete everyday tasks such as getting up & down, doing stairs, and exercising. Luckily, he's taken to swimming like a champ and is using it as a way to help him improve his overall strength & comfort so he can have the highest quality senior years possible 🐾

Like many Dachshunds, Tinker has a condition known as Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), which has caused acute paralysis of her hind limbs. The combination of hydrotherapy, cold laser, massage, and nerve stimulating exercises are helping her improve proprioception, reflexes, strength, & comfort. Although Tinker's mobility isn't currently what it used to be, she does have 3 important factors working in her favour that make walking again a hopeful reality;

✅ Feeling & responsiveness in her hind limbs
✅ Dedicated & caring parents that want to help her recover
✅ A determined, willing, & spunky attitude!

Sirus has one seriously captivating gaze! 👀😍 This handsome dude is working towards building hind limb muscle after undergoing surgery to repair a torn CCL & damaged meniscus. For a dog who isn't usually the biggest fan of water, he's certainly a natural superstar in the underwater treadmill! Keep up the good work Sirus! 🐾

Gorgeous Miss Stella here managed to break 3 of her toes while playing with her younger sister, which left her having to wear a splint for 3 months. Since she lost a significant amount of muscle tone from being on exercise restrictions for that period, she has now started hydrotherapy in the pool to help her regain strength and increase her activity levels without putting any pressure on her injured foot! Stellar job Stella! 🌟🐾

Meet Finnigan! At 13 years old, this sweet boy is starting to have some trouble using the stairs at home. He's working super hard towards improving his hind end strength and getting his confidence built back up so he can resume tackling his usual tasks pain and worry free! 🐾

Ajax ended this hot summer day with a refreshing afternoon swim! This sweet girl already holds the title for having some of the best ears in town, so is now working towards becoming a stronger, more confident swimmer so she can claim her role as queen of the pool too! 🐾

Fenny has started his therapy journey this week following surgery for a torn cruciate ligament and to help manage his arthritis. He's working on improving his hind limb strength and comfort and is already getting the hang of the underwater treadmill with the motivation of some scrumptious treats 🐾😉

This sweet, golden face belongs to Moxie! 💛 Moxie is 8 years young and dealing with bilateral hip dysplasia and associated hind limb muscle atrophy. She's working at finding ways to help improve her comfort, mobility, and strength so she can feel good and hopefully avoid undergoing any surgery! 🐾

She is beauty, she is Grace! Grace joins in on some time in the pool as a way to bust her boredom, exercise, and provide her with a new challenge to take on. Just like us, dogs need mental stimulation in addition to physical activity to stay happy and healthy. The bonus?... swimming allows her to achieve both and have fun all at once! 🐾

At only 2 years old, Molly is dealing with some hindlimb lameness from a suspected soft tissue injury. She has recently started hydrotherapy to help with decreasing the inflammation in her joints, improving her range of motion and muscle mass, and hopefully getting back to her normal, active, spunky self as soon as possible 🐾
