Processing an entire liver so that we can use it in our treats. Cook it until it’s as dry as a hockey puck just like Grandma did when we were kids. Slice it up, then dehydrate it. When you’re absolutely sure there is zero moisture left and your ancestors approve, grind it down to this consistency. Yup it’s a process but so worth it.

Yes it’s rhubarb season and like so many others, we’ve harvested some and make crisps and pies. That is fantastic for us humans.

I just read a post online where someone made strawberry rhubarb treats for their dogs! Please do NOT do this. Rhubarb is extremely toxic for our pets. Once ingested, the toxins quickly make their way through the bloodstream attacking the organs.

Keep your pets safe, and keep those tails wagging.
