HAPPY EASTER

Because of Easter, we are closed tomorrow (Good Friday) but otherwise open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday as usual. Our regular hours are Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, Saturday 8:30 AM to 4 PM and Sunday 8:30 AM to 4 PM. Our phone number is 250-339-2511.

After hours, if you are not sure if you need veterinary care, call our main line 250-339-2511 and get connected to smart.vet. There is a triage process. If a vet tech can solve your problem or reassure you, then it’s free. If you need to speak to a vet, you can, but there is a fee for this service.

If you know you need veterinary emergency services, here are your options below.

Comox Valley:

Many of you already know that the closest 24/7 veterinary hospital is in Nanaimo. They have, however, reduced their hours temporarily. See below.

Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital is closed now from Tuesdays at 8 AM to Fridays at 8 AM until further notice. 250-947-1763. Other than these closure times, they are open.

So, here are your other choices in case of an emergency.

Nanaimo:

Mahalo Veterinary Hospital, 3-5767 Turner Road, is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 PM until 8 AM. 250-824-1444.

Fantastic Beasts Veterinary Services, 826 Island Highway, Parksville: They are open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, until 10 PM until further notice.

Victoria for 24/7 emergencies:

Waves—778-432-4322
Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital—250-475-2495

Dear CVAH customers,

Beginning March 10th there will be traffic disruptions on Comox Rd due to the CVRD Sewer Conveyance Project.
From March 10th until May there will be only ONE WAY traffic moving west from Comox to Courtenay along Comox Rd during our business hours. You will not be able to turn right onto Comox Rd after crossing the 17th St Bridge. Clients from Courtenay will need to follow detour signs and access CVAH from the town of Comox.
There will be 2 way traffic from Comox along Comox Road to Comox Valley Animal Hospital.
In short, if you live in Courtenay you can only access CVAH from Comox and you will need to give yourself extra time to get here. You will be able to go home in your normal direction towards the 17th St bridge. If you live in Comox your drive to and from the clinic will not be affected.
We sincerely apologize to our clients for the inconvenience this is going to cause. Please visit the link below for more details. We will provide you with updates here as the construction moves to different locations on Comox Rd. We understand that your arrival for appointment times may be affected and we aim to accommodate everybody to the best of our ability.

February is around the corner and that means it is almost Dental Month. Any existing client can book an appointment for a no charge oral exam and estimate with one of our vets. All dentals performed in February will receive a discount.

Limited space so call one of our fabulous receptionists if you are interested.

Spoonz and Spartz are excited and are heading to the clinic to book their appointment and buy some dental chews!
