SAVE OUR FAIR!
As many may be aware Lisa volunteers with 4-H and the local fair board for comox valley exhibition. The fair is where our 4-H kids showcase their projects and get their achievement award for the year.

We need volunteers and sponsors to continue. Please attend our agm tonight, if you become a member you have the opportunity to try for or help elect people to openings for our next board of directors!

Have your suggestions heard, and all sponsorship help is much appreciated. Our little fair has struggled to come back since covid, and we need the help of the community to do so 💕

Meeting is tonight in the board room above the art gallery in Courtenay. 6:30pm doors open, 7pm start.

As well as volunteering for my daughter's 4H club I was elected to the board of directors for the Comox Valley Exhibition this year! We are very busy as it's our 150th fair next weekend!

Last call for entries for the fall fair! Please help make it amazing by entering a few home arts items! Photography, arts, crafts, baking, jam, flowers, veggies!

Deadline tonight but late entries are possible at a higher entry fee next week until Wednesday!

Also we are desperately ISO a few more volunteers for set up, home and garden, parking, security and gate, if you have any time over the weekend of the 23-25th (usually 4-5hour shift, and you can earn a volunteer meal!)

I am about to get very busy for the next month, I volunteer as a leader for my daughter's 4H club and it is our fair season! Please be forewarned that I have very limited space for August bookings, I am currently waitlisted all new clients until things calm down in the fall, and will do my best to fit in all my regulars. Please call ahead, if possible!

It is the 150th year for our local fair, comox valley exhibition! Please consider volunteering a few hours of your time if you are free, they could really use the help! The prize book with Entry forms is up on the website now if you like to enter any home arts or produce. Come on down and meet our goat, cavy, and pigeons! Lil will be showing them off over the weekend August 23-25. :)

I am going to get very busy over the next couple weeks due to some long weekends and short days for 4H and appointments (one of my puppers is needing her teeth done and we have a pediatrician appt to get to)

If you have been considering calling in, now would be a great time as I have spots to fill this week before the really busy next couple weeks begin.

My daughter Lillithe is selling Purdy's chocolates to fundraise for her 4H club, the final order date is March 11th, delivery around the 24th

We use the money from fundraising for club activities. Last year, we went to the PNE for a day, purchased club clothing, club supplies, camping for fairs, food for events, awards, gifts for judges, communication contests, and marketing items like signage.

Last minute spot opened up for 11am today! I could probably take another tomorrow as well, if anyone has been thinking of booking in :) we are headed into "Christmas rush round 2" where all the appointments that got squished together to be close to the holidays are ready for their next haircut.. best to beat the rush and come in now ;) then your furry friend can be ready to strut their stuff like Opal, here.. 💕🐾💕

I will be taking a break from the phone, so it may take extra time to hear back if you leave a message. I have a couple appointments between Christmas and new years but will mostly be out of the shop.
