As well as volunteering for my daughter's 4H club I was elected to the board of directors for the Comox Valley Exhibition this year! We are very busy as it's our 150th fair next weekend!

Last call for entries for the fall fair! Please help make it amazing by entering a few home arts items! Photography, arts, crafts, baking, jam, flowers, veggies!

Deadline tonight but late entries are possible at a higher entry fee next week until Wednesday!

Also we are desperately ISO a few more volunteers for set up, home and garden, parking, security and gate, if you have any time over the weekend of the 23-25th (usually 4-5hour shift, and you can earn a volunteer meal!)

I am about to get very busy for the next month, I volunteer as a leader for my daughter's 4H club and it is our fair season! Please be forewarned that I have very limited space for August bookings, I am currently waitlisted all new clients until things calm down in the fall, and will do my best to fit in all my regulars. Please call ahead, if possible!

It is the 150th year for our local fair, comox valley exhibition! Please consider volunteering a few hours of your time if you are free, they could really use the help! The prize book with Entry forms is up on the website now if you like to enter any home arts or produce. Come on down and meet our goat, cavy, and pigeons! Lil will be showing them off over the weekend August 23-25. :)

I am going to get very busy over the next couple weeks due to some long weekends and short days for 4H and appointments (one of my puppers is needing her teeth done and we have a pediatrician appt to get to)

If you have been considering calling in, now would be a great time as I have spots to fill this week before the really busy next couple weeks begin.

My daughter Lillithe is selling Purdy's chocolates to fundraise for her 4H club, the final order date is March 11th, delivery around the 24th

We use the money from fundraising for club activities. Last year, we went to the PNE for a day, purchased club clothing, club supplies, camping for fairs, food for events, awards, gifts for judges, communication contests, and marketing items like signage.

Last minute spot opened up for 11am today! I could probably take another tomorrow as well, if anyone has been thinking of booking in :) we are headed into "Christmas rush round 2" where all the appointments that got squished together to be close to the holidays are ready for their next haircut.. best to beat the rush and come in now ;) then your furry friend can be ready to strut their stuff like Opal, here.. 💕🐾💕

Thank you for a wonderful year and for spoiling me this Christmas, I feel very loved 💕🐾💕

Participated in some continuing education this weekend! Seminars on poodles, carding/stripping English cockers, and dealing safely and comfortably with elderly dogs.

Got a wonderful swag bag from a few companies that support groomers continuing education - Wahl, Beau, Chris Christensen, envirogroom 💕 plus the lovely host, Dogs Do Smile in comox (check them out for a wide variety of grooming and other dog supplies and spectacular gifts for animal lovers!)

Discovered some new products, like pro-grow leave in conditioner (Judah, you will benefit from this one! 😁) and rediscovered an old favourite, almond crisp shampoo for terriers

Upgraded to a cordless clipper - more ergonomic for both me and my doggy clientele- no more struggling to work around cords, and it has far less vibration than my old model, making it perfect for puppies and older or anxious dogs 💕 (Now I have to work to pay it off over the Christmas season 🤭😅 it was an early present to myself - what a thoughtful boss i am 😁😆)

Back to work! Still a little cautious of how many large dogs I can book in a week, but I am almost back to normal with my back. It only took a month 🫣😅

Because of my overly cautious booking I have some spaces left to fill this week! If you have been thinking of calling, now is a great time! If you know anyone searching for an groomer I am accepting some new *small* dog clients as well. 💕🐾💕

That time of the year is once again apon us! The golden evenings, the crickets, the return of the pumpkin spice all herald the arrival of the annual peoples choice awards! 🍃🌾🍂🍁🧡

You can vote as often as once a day, or as little as you wish, but any vote helps! It's harder for the solitary groomers to compete against the larger multi groomer shops, so I would be honored by any vote in support of my little boutique shop 💕🐾🐾💕

😮 due to the valley recently losing 3 or 4 established groomers in short succession, the phone is going crazy this spring! Please call soon if you have been meaning to book a spring appointment! I am holding some special spots for regulars but things are filling fast!

There are 2 work days left until new years, I think I have space for one more on each day if anyone needs a spot! My heartfelt thanks for a wonderful year of caring for your dogs.
