River will be 7 months next week. We couldn't love her any more. She is fun loving, loyal, obdient, athletic, and so beautiful. We almost lost her 5 weeks ago when she fell off our cabin roof and tore her liver. She is completely recovered and so very loved!!

We had a great opening weekend at the cabin in 2024. River, our 6-month-old, quickly adapted to boating and cabin life!

Katie is a fully certified therapy dog through Therapeutic Paws of Canada - Cranbrook/Kimberley, BC, after passing her monitored visit today, visiting lots of people and spreading smiles at the hospital today .

I am very proud of her, she started put as a very timid puppy but is now confident, loving, and calm with everyone she meets.

Class 5: Puppy class outdoor agility with distractions, including traffic, people and dogs walking by, kids on the playground and even jumping over the jumps ahead of us. I am so impressed how far the pups have come working on their focus.

Class 3: Foundation agility for puppies.

We worked on name game, touch, target training, small jumps, crinkle mat under a table, tunnel, cone wrap left and right, table and wait 10 seconds, tire, and beginner weave poles!! Wowzers!! The pups are building so much confidence and self control.

Katie was my first border-aussie that started my love for them. Today she passed her Therapeutic Paws of Canada - Cranbrook/Kimberley, BC evaluation! The evaluations screen dogs in various scenarios including meeting and greeting dogs, walking by a plate of cookies, being petted and inspected by various people including those acting as alsemzer patients, those grabbing her collar, a loud group coming at her for a hug, metal bowl dropping, people with walkers, canes, and wheel chairs and taking a treat nicely. Katie did very well and I am proud of her and excited to start visiting and providing therapy to our community, following in Annie and Tuffs footsteps.

4 month old River is such a joy!

Class 2: 4 months old! Litter puppy class. Worked on getting a neutral response to people, dogs and weird sounds (not too excited or fearful). Great focus with watch me. All the pups did awesome when we switched handlers and had a stranger approach. Couple of brain games - pot and herding ball and of course the highlight is the group play!

Class 1: 16 weeks old - Group litter mate training session (Kylo, Aspen, Scout and River). Working on impulse control - wait for food dish, leave it, wait - walk around at a down, through doors, brain games, pets by strangers, and group play session. So much to learn!!
