Hello community!

Introducing, our first EVER Galentine's Day Paint 'n' Sip for puppies! Join us as we create a Valentine's day themed painting and spend the night chatting and sipping!

Our generous friends, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #24 are hosting us. As there will be a limited number of tickets, purchase yours fast! $40 per ticket which includes one drink of choice, all supplies, and a 8x10 canvas. If you buy 2 tickets you save $10 (Its for the puppies, so why not?) Let your creativity flow and bring home your own masterpiece! 💖

This event will be for those 19+ but don't worry! we have lots of fun things for the littles coming up later in the year. Just keep an eye out❤️‍🔥

Tickets will be available at the EK SPCA (open Tuesday- Sunday from 1-4pm) and Royal Canadian Legion Branch #24 located in the heritage inn (open Tuesday and Wednesday from 2pm-10pm and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 2pm-6pm) 💗

We have some sweet bunny loves who are in need of some housing supplies. We have so many hippity hoppity guests, that we've run out of X pens! If you have one that you're no longer using, we would greatly appreciate it at the Centre.

🎄A Christmas eve at the East Kootenay BCSPCA we will never forget 🎄

THANK YOU SO MUCH Cranbrook Professional Fire Fighters Local 1253, RCMP & EMS, Steeples Veterinary Clinic and our Volunteers! 💘

This morning a fire in the forest broke out of control on the north edge of the property and the Cranbrook Professional Fire Fighters Local 1253 saved the day! THANK YOU SO MUCH for protecting our Community Animal Centre so quickly and efficiently from the flames! RCMP & EMS were also here to help in a flash. The team at Steeples Vet hopped in their cars and came to help us evacuate everyone and housed us until we could return. And of course our Volunteers rallied around.

From us all, THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH! 🎄🐾🐹🐈💖🎉

And just in time for the 10 dogs we received in the last week... one of our truly amazing volunteers created these whimsical light-hearted, jolly signs for our dog yards! So Stand by RDEK, we've got some cracking pups ready for you soon. The signs and the dogs will be sure to make you smile when you see them! 🐾💖😍

Looking for whoever donated these adorable little baggies, we would love to know their origin as it was a very sweet thought but we are unable to use unlabelled treats for our shelter animals.

ADOPTED 🐹❤️Pom is still looking for his forever home, he is our last hamster left!! He can't wait to find his forever home, he asked santa paws for a home this christmas! Send this post to a hamster lover and help spread the word!! This guy really is a star and has become a shelter staff favorite!!
🐹He is so social and loves to climb! Comes with his favourite things and some food to get you started! Also comes with lots of great info on how to properly care for this handsome fluffy man!🐹

Holiday enrichment ideas for cats!
Cat-cuterie boards are a great way to keep your cats brains (and bellies) stimulated this holiday season, all it takes is some treats, cat safe foods like a little blueberry or a little cube of boiled unseasoned chicken, some catnip and whatever else they like. The options are endless! Also good for picky cats, helps us see what treats are their favourites!
🐈‍⬛Dont foget to feed in moderation to avoid upset tummies!🐾
