We often receive cats from rural and urban communities that are just not comfortable living indoors or interacting with people in a close contact environment.

These cats are assessed, and after time at the shelter, they are placed into either our regular adoption program or the Barn Buddies Program.

Barn Buddies aims to find homes for cats who are not suitable for life inside a house or who just prefer to be outside to come and go as they please. Tails to Tell believes there is a home out there for every cat, based on their specific needs, dispositions and personalities.🙏

We are looking for cat loving homeowners who want an adventurous companion! These cats can range from feral, semi-feral, to friendly.

Adopters must (i) provide a heated barn or other outdoor structure (i.e., shop, warehouse) that the cat can call home and (ii) provide the cat with fresh food and water daily.

If you are interested in a cat to patrol your facility, please fill out and submit a Barn Buddy Adoption Application and a member of the team will contact you.

Barn Buddies are available for a fee of $50, are spayed or neutered, have at least one set of vaccinations and deworming, and are microchipped.

Did you know that bottles and cans are one way that we raise funds for our shelter and we have so many supporters who donate theirs either directly to us or utilize our recycling partners.

Hometown Bottle And Recycling Depot (located behind Superstore)
Once you get your receipt for your bottles, take it to the Manager and let them know that you’d like to donate your money to Tails To Tell. They’ll do the rest!

How wonderful Burrito has been adopted

OH. MY, GOODNESS!! 😲 Now this is a face I know you just want to smoosh!

Burrito is the snuggliest, sweetest, and purriest kitten! He loves to be picked up and carried around.🩶🩶

He loves to play but loves cuddling even more. He's very curious and always wants to see what's happening around him. Burrito loves the other cats and is fine with the big dogs so far. At just 2 months old, you'll be getting a lot of cuddles.

What about these 2?! Our newest bonded ladies.

First up - Esmah. A gorgeous 10 year old house panther and the sweetest senior girl!
Esmah arrived at the shelter with her friend Petal when their owner sadly had to move to a care facility. These two besties have a special bond and must be adopted as a pair. They both love the company of people and thrive on all love and attention. Esmah is a cuddle bug who adores getting pets and will even flop over on her belly for more. She is super friendly, laid back, and will even let you pick her up. Esmah's bond with Petal is heartwarming, and they love to show their love for each other.
Esmah's "sister" Petal, is a beautiful 4 year old lady who absolutely thrives on love and attention!
Petal loves to play and show affection to her sister.💕

Will you be the ONE ☝️ to give our gorgeous Joni and stunning house panther Sangria a forever home full of love, open laps and a place in a window to watch the world go by?

Meet Joni and Sangria. These gals met at the shelter and fell and love.🥰

The lovely Joni received a diagnosis of Feline Leukemia (FeLV), a virus that affects a cat's immune system. While it can potentially be spread to other cats, it does not pose a risk to dogs or humans. Joni's FeLV diagnosis does not mean her quality of life will be impacted. With some precautions in place, she can still enjoy a happy and healthy life. Her soulmate Sangria is never far away from her lifelong love.

Both these ladies are a little shy at first, but with the right loving and patient home, they would soon settle in. In fact, bring out the treat bag and they are both at your feet...waiting patiently for those delicious treats.

WE HAVE A FULL HOUSE!! 😲

Our amazing Airdrie pet store partners are hosting some absolutely fantastic faces, and you really don't want to miss out.

Our stunning Yolk is hanging with the crew at Global Pet Foods in the Kingsview Market...she's making sure everyone is staying on top of their duties - that being snuggles and pets.

At PetValu in Coopers Crossing, the lovely Gaela and Lorenza are showing off all their talents...purrs and head boops.🥰

And at our newest pet store partner, Pet Planet in Sierra Springs - the gorgeous house panther Nibbs is looking for her second chance at a forever family. 🖤

Tails to Tell Animal Rescue Shelter takes in stray, abandoned, and injured cats and kittens, provide them with food, water, shelter and, any medical care they may need. All of our animals undergo a vet check, full vaccinations, and a spay or neuter before being adopted to their forever homes.
