The Christmas hustle and bustle has official began here at Aunty’s Place! 🎄

Not only do I have a full house of good dog guests, we also host human guests as well over the holidays 🥰

I likely will not have time to post as much over the next 5 days or so, so if you need an update feel free to send me a message 😊

There are a lot of … eerrmm… “silly” things that I have to prevent dogs from doing to themselves here from day to day….

One of those things… in this season… is sticking their tongues to the frozen poles…

Every. Single. Time. That happens….
I nearly have a heart attack… 😱
I’m sure they do too…

Hey guys! 🤶 🎄 🤶

While it’s cold out this winter I am going to be offering up slat mill sessions to my boarding clients!
What is a slatmill you ask?

It is a treadmill that has no electrical power other than the dog.
We carefully and slowly acclimate the dog to idea of it, and we go at their own pace.

They can walk, they can trot, or they can full out sprint as fast as they can .. lips, tongue & spit flying!
The main thing is, if the dog stops moving, so does the mill.

The dog is in full control and can stop whenever they want to 🖤

The mill that we have here is a part of our GRC dog sports training club on our property…
But since some days can be really cold out, I would like to offer it as an extra service while your dog is here boarding.

Mill sessions with Aunty A are $15 per dog per use.

The mill is a valuable tool for confidence building, physical & mental exercise, and even physical therapy when on a custom program.
Let me know if it’s something you’d like your dog to try during their boarding stay this winter! ❄️

I’m sure Vinny & Gunner would rather be out on the field with their Mom and Dad bringing them back dead geese….

But for tonight… they get to hang with Aunty A 🤗

Happy to have them. Such good boys.

Vinny and Gunner are both purpose bred American Labradors.
They were bred for sport and work.
American Labradors are working dogs.
Please make sure to do your research before getting a Labrador.
English Labradors are stockier shaped companions who fit the bill for guide, service and therapy work… They also make great family pet dogs.
American Labradors, can also make great family dogs…
However, they are bred for high endurance, high drive, work ethic, with a long and lean athletic physique that lives to be put to use.

Know the difference.
Don’t get a working dog if you don’t plan to put it to work…
If you… whoops… already have one, and don’t have a job for them, find an alternative activity for them to do.

Allow your dogs to be who they are…. Safely ❤️

She’s such a good girl!!

Mocha☕, has been with us since June 2024.
Our staff have been working daily with her to help build her confidence, has been rocking her kennel training, and does know some of her basic commands! 🤘
Once Mocha is familiar with her people she is a melty love bug and desires to be a lap dog who is sure to smoother you in affection!🥰
Wrestling and chase are few of her favorite play styles with her doggy playmates!
A home with another confident, calm and playful dog who can boost her confidence would be beneficial.🐶🐶
At 1 y/o Mocha is playful and full of energy, however she is fearful of strange noises/situations and people.
Because of this she is looking for a dog savvy human companion who will work on building her confidence with the outside world. 🤠
A home with no cats or small children, due to her timidness with loud/unpredictable situations and noises. 😵‍💫

Hey everyone! 🙋‍♀️

I have a limited supply of gorgeous and very sturdy flat buckle collars available for purchase!

We prefer to live, train and play with our dogs in a simple flat buckle collar.

Keeping it simple and safe is honestly the best way.
If your dog typically pulls into their collar, ideally we train for collar pressure sensitivity to avoid that…
But having a wider collar (1.5 -2 inches) is a lot safer on their necks than a thin flat plastic buckle collar or thin chain martingale….

Our dogs will always wear these types of collars - tried and true!

We have some great colours especially for those male outdoorsy types and mostly medium sizes left…

Measure your dogs neck and let me know!
