PARVO is a highly contagious viral disease that can survive outdoors for a long time and is easily carried home on shoes or paws. Parvo often affects puppies more severely and can be fatal.

DISTEMPER is a life-threatening contagious viral disease that affects a dogโ€™s respiratory, gastrointestinal, and central nervous systems causing seizures and blindness. Treatment is usually not successful.

Friendly reminder that we cannot accept wildlife at our clinics. It is best to leave them be and call conservation.

Friendly reminder that we cannot accept wildlife at our clinics. It is best to leave them be and call conservation.

Our friends at Manitoba Conservation wanted to remind everyone that it's best to leave deer fawns in their natural environment. White-tailed deer young are typically born in late-May and June. If you find a deer fawn curled up and motionless, do not approach or move it. The doe (mother) will often leave her fawn(s) for extended periods of time during which the fawn will lie hidden to avoid detection from predators.

If you suspect the fawn may be orphaned (the doe hasnโ€™t returned in more than eight hours), make note of the location and report it to a conservation officer or call the TIP line at 1-800-782-0076. A conservation officer will assess the situation and respond appropriately.
