UPDATE: Our total if everyone picks up & pays will be $813 for this Auction.

A very good friend of mine paid ANGELS last Vet Visit, So all the money from this Auction will be able to pay for future Vet bills.
Thank you so much "my good friend" and all of our Supporters for Bidding on this Auction.
We are struggling to stay afloat so every $$ helps up continue to Save dogs and get them healthy so they can find a forever home.

PSA: Don’t feed your dogs rotisserie chicken.
I’ve done it many times thinking it was chicken and a good treat for my boys.
Well, Saturday night I mixed the chicken juices with some rice and gave it to my boys. They devoured it of course. That was about 6:30 pm. Around 11:30 pm one of my dogs was ringing the bell to go outside, when I got downstairs there was a giant pile of puke with all the rice and other food he had eaten. He was clearly not feeling good but I didn’t think too much about it. He was pretty unsettled in the morning but I was still thinking it was something that was going to pass.
I did a few things that day and came back around 3:00, it was clear that there was something very wrong now. He wouldn’t lay down, his back was now arching up, panting, kept trying to throw up. So we took him to urgent care. They took X-rays and gave him fluids and anti nausea meds which seemed to help. Looking at the X-ray the doctor was thinking pancreatitis sent us in our way while waiting for the radiologist to read the report. We got a call that the radiologist thought there was an obstruction. Well we now headed to the emergency vet. They gave him fluids and kept him comfortable until the ultrasound tech got there. Upon scanning they found no obstruction.
Gastroenteritis was the verdict. My boy has not eaten since Saturday night, and is in so my pain but I am hoping that we are turning a corner with the help of our vet giving fluids and anti nausea meds daily.
When our vet called yesterday he was concerned that maybe gastroenteritis wasn’t certain then my husband aid could this be because we gave him rotisserie chicken. The vet was like”yes!!!” Now that he knew that we gave him that he said he sees this like once a week. Apparently it’s the fat in the juices( we didn’t give them any skin).
Maybe some dogs tolerate it for sometime. Mine both have eaten this many times, and no issues. This time only one of my dogs got sick but he is sooooooo sick. It is heart breaking to watch and to know it was because I gave him the chicken.

I would like to Introduce our Gate Keepers. They are the Alarm Bells for our Home and Shelter. When you come to our Shelter/Rescue you will be greeted...

They were all Rescued except DAISY.

DAISY is 11 years old Pryanese, we had her since 8 weeks old.. DAISY is the Queen Bee.

Princess MAGGIE is Pyanese/Beagle, she was Rescued at 1 year old. She is Daisys side kick. MAGGIE is the biggest suck you will meet. LOVES People and Attention. But if doesn't know you, she will bark and let us know someone is here.

Sir TROOPER is Floppy Ears Shepherd Cross. He came to us as a very sick pup. I promised him If he lived then he could stay here forever. (I never break a promise to a dog)

MADDIE is Terrier/Jack Russell ( i think) came to us very scared and traumatized. It took a year to get her to feel safe and loved. I also promised her to trust me as I love her and this is her home. She now feels safe and loved. I cannot break her heart and adopt her out. She is now a love bug and loves to cuddle.

MAXX ( Sh*tzu cross) was rescued over a year ago with 2 other little dogs like him. Owner passed away and dogs were left in house. He is blind but loves to be cuddled, plays with Maddie and knows his way around our house. He is such a happy little boy and I can't imagine putting him thru a new place. He is 9 years old and this is his Forever Home.

I'm having a really hard time writing this as I can't stop crying. My Heart is Broken.

We brought ANGEL in to get her teeth pulled today. She is very skinny 4.6kg (lost more weight) and drinks and pees lots, so i asked if they could check for diabetes and do a blood panel.

It came back my worst nightmare. ANGEL has late stage kidney disease and would probably not make the surgery. With pills and special food she could maybe live a few months but she can't have pain meds because of her kidneys and she would be in pain. She would start have having seizures and in the end starve to death. I could not let this little Sweet Angel go thru all that suffering.

I'm going to leave the Auction up for now but, if anyone wants to withdraw their bids then I understand. You just need to hold onto your post and delete it.

Otherwise we will pay it forward to pay for the next dog in our care needing Vet care.
My heart is breaking and I am just so sad that I couldn't give this ANGEL the life she Deserved

Hi there I have 6 puppies that I have been trying to find home for their breed is texas heeler crosses .
They are absolutely great dog very smart loyal and easy to train .
They were born Oct 30 2024 and Nov.1 2024 . So are just about 14 weeks old now .

He is about 11-12 months old .
This puppy has had some form of food aggression since a young pup

He is a real sweet boy but very nervous and unsure of life and I am sure my home with 3 young children plus an older larger dog isn’t helping him .

I think he would be best suited in a home with a single person , single couple of older children so it is more chilled .

I was told he is a Rottweiler Great Pyrenees mix .
He is already about 75 lbs so he will be a big boy . He isn’t fixed yet .
He can not be in a house with another dog or cats .

Myself and my husband are will to drive him almost any where in Alberta to drop him off .
We are located near westlock .
