THE PERFECT FIT. 🧩

After our clients said goodbye to their dog, (Rest easy WILLOW 💜) they got word that there was a rescue pup who would be a great fit for their family and boy were they right!

BARRETT is an absolutely gorg 1 year old with a great temperament to boot. Considering his lack of any training in his past, he has proved to be such a great dog who's eager to learn.

He continues to make progress through private sessions, where his family is putting in the work to help him become the best version of himself 🙌 Next on the agenda, properly introducing the dog wash! 🛁

KING HOMER. 👑

At least, that's what he thought he was. HOMER was quick to use his mouth to make people do what he wanted. He knew how to control the narrative - tantrums galore.

We helped his family learn how to handle his antics and put a stop to his rude protesting. It was great to see his progress throughout his 5 Session Package but it was even better to see his humans!

Watching their confidence grow session after session is why we do what we do. Sure, we teach the dog but more importantly, we teach the human. The dog is the "easy part".

Making sure the human is successful, understands how to apply what we lay out and finds confidence in their application is the most important piece of the puzzle.

Way to go HOMER & fam 👏 Keep up the amazing work!

WHIN'D'ING UP.

Some dogs have a hard time regulating themselves when they go to new places. At home all is well but once you switch up the environment, especially to somewhere they've never been before, chaos ensues.

Whining, pacing, barking - all out scatter brained. Whether it's anxiety, fear, over excitement, there's a way to make things better.

A lot of the time, people's first instinct is to comfort the dog and let them know that everything is okay. Intended as help, this will often have the opposite effect and create an even bigger ball of stress.

By talking, petting, picking up, etc. this reinforces the unwanted behaviours and communicates to the dog that we want them to continue - afterall, they get your attention, right?

LUNA has been making progress through our one on one private sessions and is on her way to becoming the dog her family gets to see inside the home, outside of it.
