This was posted in another group in 2024, however, it is becoming more relevant as the years continue.
Barn owners/operators will never make everyone at their facility happy… although they try their absolute hardest!
It’s not a 9 to 5 job.
Owners /operators are dedicated to this lifestyle 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and most certainly every holiday is included.
They give up family time, skip vacations, miss out on birthday celebrations…. Even funerals, to dedicate their time to the farm and the care of the horses.
Yes, we chose this lifestyle and knew that it would be hard work.
Maybe if people are more aware of what it takes to run a facility, they would better understand the daily challenges for the owners/operators.

There will always be critics, but just remind yourself, it is not them that you compete for!

We express our heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers and participants for their contribution to Spook Walk 2024!
We also acknowledge the enthusiasm of everyone who attended and enjoyed the trails, decorations, and thrills. Your involvement and support are crucial to us, and we are sincerely thankful. The preparation and ex*****on of this event relied heavily on the contributions of many individuals. We will announce the results of the local food bank fundraiser later this week. Once more, we thank you all for your dedication, participation, and generosity.

Sweet little kittens!

It’s been an emotional afternoon of highs and lows. We said a tearful farewell to our special pony Lady Brooke as she headed off for new adventures. We are overjoyed to know that she will be in a loving home, back in work and around many children who will absolutely adore and spoil her with attention! 🥰 However, we can’t help but feel a little sad as she will leave a void in our hearts. We have so many great memories that we will always cherish. 💜💜💜

Incredible day at the ranch today! Santa … uhmmm …. Santas came for a visit and of course a ride! 🎄 🐴

The WINNERS of the pumpkin carving contest are….. CONGRATULATIONS 👏 The Deep River and Area Horticultural Society will contact the winners by phone to award the prizes. If you’d like to keep your pumpkin, please feel free to come and pick it up they will remain on display until November 1st.

A little bit about us.

Richard’s View Stable is a family operated equine therapy, boarding, and schooling facility located just 2 minutes from the heart of Deep River and 30 minutes from Petawawa. We have 2 certified English instructors offering dressage and hunter lessons for riders of all levels. We’ve got beautiful trails, 1 indoor and 2 outdoor rings, a cross-country course and jumps. Horse boarding is available although space is limited for indoor board. Please contact us for information about our trainers, boarding, summer camps and school horse lessons.
