We are doing something new this season by bringing something old back:)
We are going to have a Christmas Store on December 18 from 4:30 to 7:30. We will be setting up at Delisle Composite School during their Deck the Halls* event. So while you check out the decorations at the school, you can send your kids shopping!
Prices will range from .25 to $5 per item. You can also pay with a non-perishable food item instead of cash, whatever you prefer!
We always want to raise money for our programs, but this really is more about creating lots of smiles, and no customers will be turned away!
We will have helpers available to help shop, manage budgets and wrap gifts!
A part of our Angel Tree mission is to foster generosity within our community, and with this little Christmas Store we want kids in our Community to experience the joy of giving!
We want kids to be able to independently get gifts for the most important people in their lives! We want kids to be able to put something under the tree too - and we want their family members to see kids with proud smiles as they present their gifts.
This event is for ALL kids 12 and under between 4:30 to 6:30 and for EVERYONE from 6:30 to 7:30- so all ages, including adults are more than welcome to come shop at 6:30 and look for unique little gifts!
Now, naturally we can't have a Christmas Store without products, and seen as we don't have a workshop full of Elves, we are hoping for everyone's generosity for this part.
We will be accepting all kind of donations, and will have bins up at HUB Intentional and DCS.
The items don't have to be new, but must be clean and obviously not broken. Ornaments, decor items, mugs, books, accessories, items for Dads are always in high demand! Chocolates and treats must be wrapped and clearly labelled- and of course good well beyond Christmas day.
If you have something to donate but can't make it to DCS or HUB please contact Erin Miller at 306 541 2988 or Karen Gratton at 306 290 6237 to make arrangements.
The store will run while supplies last! Any leftover stuff at the end of the night will be donated to someone in need.
We are trying this out, and we hope you will come check it out and help us with our mission of fostering generosity!
*Deck the Halls is a fun event at Delisle Composite every Christmas. The students do a phenomenal job of decorating the school, and this is your chance to come and see their work, while enjoying some hot chocolate too! The event is open for everyone with a silver collection going toward the Angel Tree! ❤️
