A smiling reminder to book your trial boarding stays now to prepare for your spring/summer board! Trial nights are a great way to introduce your dog to our facility, bondd with some staff and to learn that once you drop them off- you also pick them up! Trial nights set your dog up for success and now is the time to book. If you wait until summer we may not have space so don't delay!

It's time for an Owner Appreciation/Brag post! When we first met Daejah, a human and dog reactive dog, a couple of months ago in a training session with Rachel, we thought there was no way she was going to be able to successfully board. In order to board, a dog needs to be able to be handled safely by multiple members of our team. This is extremely difficult for a human reactive dog, especially in a new environment with lots of dog noises and smells. Little did we know, we were dealing with an owner who really knows her dog and who was willing to put in the time and work. An owner who truly knows the importance of positive associations and working at the dog's own pace. Over the last 3 months, Daejah and her mom came to our facility almost every weekend for a field rental so they could have fun together in our space. This helped Daejah go from being high alert/anxious upon arrival to relaxed and excited. Good Hound = fun! On top of the field rentals, Daejah also did multiple training sessions with Rachel. In these sessions, we were also able to slowly introduce her to the kennel and to some staff. To make Daejahs life even easier, her mom already had successfully muzzle trained Daejah. Daejah just looooves her muzzle that keeps her and everyone else safe. And now, with all the rentals and training sessions, she has no issue with multiple members of our staff putting it on and taking it off. Daejah has now had 2 successful overnight stays with us in preparation for a longer stay. We are so proud!
Why am I sharing this? It's to show how time and patience pays off. If you have an anxious dog or human reactive dog, you can't expect them to be "fixed" or ok to board after one training session, one field rental, or one intro night. These things take time, sometimes a lot of time, but man, is it ever worth it.

Adoptable Stampy
Stampy needs a foster or a foster to adopt, and we would love for him to stay in Delta so we can continue to help him out.
Stampy is a mellow guy who needs someone with patience and a yard to be free in. He walks great on leash but can be growly towards other dogs. However he is easily and highly food motivated! He has been nothing but lovely with all our staff who have met him. But we are closely monitoring our interactions and letting him settle at his own pace. He would prefer to be an only dog. Stampy has been through A LOT! Help us find him the perfect home!
Stampy is being adopted out through Pawsitive Animal Rescue so contact them if interested or us if you have questions about Stampy contact us!
Hose fun!
Have you watered your dog today?
