We are located in Delta, British Columbia, Canada and are noted for producing American and Canadian Champion Labradors & Basenjis.

We are also noted for donating quality Labrador pups to the Pacific Assistance Dog Society (PADS). At Terrarust, we breed high quality Labradors and Basenjis. Our canines are well rounded, well tempered dogs and are a perfect addtion for your family. We also own and operate a full boarding, climate controled kennel for a multitude of animals. We have the facility to kennel cats, dogs, rabbits and ferrets.

“Chihuahua and a min pin, those are the 2 worst breeds you could ever cross, why in the world would anyone ever do that?..”
We heard this over and over in the last (almost) 14 years…Until they met him.
The truth is, that breeding created THE most magical little being we could have ever wished for.
Unfortunately, on Sunday afternoon, we had to say goodbye to Linden, the sheriff of our farm, our honorary lab, the black beauty that has greeted all of our customers most days over the last 10 years.
He was a little guy tipping the scales at just over 10 lbs, but his presence was huge and his impact on our lives and our hearts was massive.
Every dog we have the pleasure of owning holds a special place in all of us, but Linden… he was out of this world. I’m not sure how we got so lucky to be blessed with a dog like him, but we did, and we knew how lucky we were.
We thought we had more time, we wanted more time, we begged for things to be different, we prayed he’d take a turn for the better. It just wasn’t meant to be. Linden was surrounded by the 3 moms that loved him every single day. We helped him cross over to that beautiful rainbow bridge, now free from pain, now free from suffering, now free to continue being his stoic little self.
Linden, our handsome and perfect guy, I hope you knew how amazing you were, I hope you felt just as lucky as we did.
Our hearts will be forever broken without you with us earth side.

Penny and Nikki, my girls❤️ (Loonie is still in her pen at night, she can’t be trusted to not make a disaster of the house)
It is so easy to get caught up in the day to day craziness and time is just flying by so fast I feel like I can’t keep up.
Lately, Nicola has been asking questions about why dogs don’t live longer than they do and she is petrified at the thought of losing our Penny.
This week she has changed up her bedtime routine of me sitting with her until she falls asleep, to cuddling penny and going to sleep on her own.
Penny is our free spirited farm girl who would prefer to run/walk the property, free of rules and direction. She can open cupboards, jump up and stretch her neck to impossible lengths to steal food, and takes every opportunity to seek out a crumb she could taste or a whole meal to devour as quick as possible before she runs away with With zero care of repercussions.
She is a fantastic dog and one of the most patient, soft and sweetest girls.
But.. when nik turns off the lights and asks pen to get on the bed, she even surprises me:
She will NOT leave Nikki’s side, they always have to be touching. Penny will give the room
A quick smell and scan to see if there is any hidden food she can steal later. But she stays close to Nikki until they wake up in the morning.

I am so lucky to not only have my penny, but I get to live life with her daughter, Loonie.
Plus, my little human creation is pretty amazing too.

This play group is made up of mostly our delta kennels kids that are here for boarding 😍

Well..we always say, things happen the way they are supposed to.
As each of the puppies were going to their forever homes I started to get really emotional at the thought of this being our last litter and not having anything from penny or a pup that we produced, one that I held at birth, that I helped deliver and that I held while it took its first breath.
So, here is “Loonie” (penny.. with inflation 😜)
my beautiful girls daughter. My new fur baby.
Loonie, I will love you forever, I will cherish you for always, you are mine.
So now Linda and I get to both raise our babies together, and we each hold a piece of our breeding program as we close those doors. It stings a little less while we adore Jake and Loonie ❤️❤️❤️
So this is it, that’s a wrap. We want to thank every single person that we have met over the years, the lovely families who have opened their doors to our babies, and the ones that have done so multiple times.
To the clients who became friends and the ones who became family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you all.

Oh boy we’re down to the last 2 delta kennels pups..
Rob, Maureen and kids bought their first babe from us 13 years ago, as fate would have it, I was able to place “Maple” (green collar) into their arms yesterday to start her forever.
This little girl is so sweet and so soft and will make a perfect addition in this loving home.❤️
Wow, we are lucky to have people like this trust us, our program and what we choose to bring into the world.

We adored these 2 from our first conversation, and they didn’t disappoint when we met them.
Little doll Ruby will live a life being spoiled by mini humans and loved deeply by her mum and dad. we are so fortunate to find homes like these to love our precious beauties. ❤️❤️

This one pulls at my heartstrings.
Peter.. Peter is one of our most dedicated, generous and loveliest clients. He picked up his 3rd delta kennels pup yesterday. Miss Ruby red collar went to live a spoiled life with Peter and the beautiful poppy.
Peter has been contemplating bringing another babe home since the loss of his wonderful sunny, and he’s finally bringing home his new girl! We are SO grateful for his friendship, his unwavering commitment and loyalty to our family and our kennel. We all shed a few tears yesterday and can’t wait to see these girls soon!

Another babe has gone home today. Grape -Purple collar, now Lexi, has gone to live a a spoiled life with Matt, Anna and their 2 lovely boys.
Matt is a long time delta kennels fan, as his folks are on their 3rd pup from us. This was an easy send off, we felt instantly at ease with this family and knew one of our precious kids would be an amazing fit for them. Lexi with grow up with her “uncle Jake” (who is a boy from Olives last litter) and all the love and attention any dog could wish for.❤️

“Moishe Banana” my only boy, left to start his forever tonight.
I think I have been ignoring the fact that the time is flying by to hopefully bypass my emotional state until these guys are safe and in the loving arms of their new families. Well… I screwed that up! Our feelings are truly SO conflicted. These are the days we long for, the day that we can place these beautiful beings that we planned for, hoped for, prayed for, payed for and put all of our heart and soul into for the last 4 months. It all comes down to this day. And it’s here and I am so happy to place this boy into this mans arms(he asked not to be identified on fb)
This wonderful human reached out to us and told us about his amazing yellow boy from us.. it turns out, he had a son from our precious Remmy (Linda’s heart dog)
We were so hopeful he would be able to bring home a baby from Penny(stephanie’s heart dog).
It was just meant to be. We love these stories, we live for these stories and this, right here. Makes it all worth while.
This is the final delta kennels male puppy, and we are feeling all of the emotions tonight🥺
Moishe.. my beautiful boy, you’ve won the lottery kid. This is never a goodbye, but a see you later. ❤️❤️❤️

I realized I didn’t make a post about our 11th pup from Sydney’s litter.
So… here’s Jake settled in his new home, with us❤️
Linda has dreamed of bringing a yellow boy home since the devastating loss of our beautiful Remmy.
All of our girls are ones we acquired at 8 weeks old, Linda wanted to raise one of ours from first breath to last.. we take HUGE pride in what we produce, and the thought our breeding program coming to an end and not keeping something from this line was unbearable. Luckily, Syd produced 1 yellow boy… and he is an absolute gem! 💎
Mr. Jake has a house full of dogs to win over and he’s nailing it one dog at a time, he’s wiggled his way into all of our hearts in such a short time and we know that this is exactly where he is meant to be. In our home, in our arms and forever in our hearts.
Welcome home big guy.. lucky #7 ❤️❤️❤️

5 weeks today and arrived at the naughty milestone😍🤪

Nik asked to bring my babies out of the whelping box to cuddle her on the dog bed.. safe to say, they always seem at peace when Nikki is close to them😍

Here is a video of my reds. Nicola has named the litter and we are expecting a lot of the names to stick when they go to their forever homes 😏. The babies are finally all gaining weight, it’s been a bit stressful as pennys milk took a bit to come in and I didn’t want to intervene too soon. But, I am happy with the progress in the last 24 hrs and these guys have hit every milestone expected so far🥰❤️
