Team Sperabo had a very fun Halloween party over the Halloweekend. We had 3 costume winners:

🥇Anita and Chaberton along with Jenni and Bobbi won best costume in the Adult Amateur division!

🥇Lennox and Mr. Fahrenheit won best costume in the Junior division!

We also played some fun Halloween games!

🥇Stella and Silver Lining won the egg on spoon game! They were able to weave through all the poles the fastest while keeping the egg safely on the spoon!

🥇Chelsea and Carlsbad took the podium in the stride adjustability test. They were able to get 5 different stride numbers in a 5 stride pole line. They rode the line in 6,7,8,9 and 10 strides! Just like the real Ferrari F1 team they are speedy and adjustable!

🥇The team of Maryam, Jenni, Jenna and Drew won the pole weaving speed class. With a strong start from the one jumper on the team, Jenna and Scooter, the team was able to keep their lead with some speedy maneuvering and pole weaving!

And that is a wrap on the 2024 BCHJA Fall Finale!

Congratulations to Nicola and Costa De Will Z on Reserve Champion in the Modified Adult Hunter 2’9”! They also got 1st in the $300 Modified Adult Hunter 2’9” Classic with a score of 85! What a great way to close out their first show season together!

Justine and Costa De Will Z were Champion in Pre Green Hunter 3’0” - 3’3” (Combined).

Justine and BP Mystic had a great end to their first show season with an 8th in the $500 1.20M Open Jumper!

Jenni and Bobbi ended their show season with a 4th in the very competitive Show Park Hunter 2’9” class.

And after her many hours managing the back gate and keeping Nicky inline Potatoe is very excited the BC show season has come to an end so she can rest and relax until next summer.

Champions and Reserve Champions!

Thunderbird April Season Opener Laura and Costa De Will Z were Champion in the Pre Adult Hunter 2’6”!

Thunderbird Spring Festival Justine and her new ride BP Mystic were Champion in the 1.10M Open Jumpers!

Thunderbird BC Open Costa De Will Z received two Reserve Champions! First with Laura in the Pre Adult Hunter 2’6” and with Justine in the Pre Green Hunter - First Year 3’0”.

Thunderbird West Coast Classic Nicola and Heathrow got Reserve Champion in the Adult Amateur Equitation 3’0”.

At last week's Milner Downs Classic I Maryam and Rosalita got Reserve Champion in the Pre Children Hunters! Nicola and Heathrow also received a Reserve Champion in the Adult Amateur Hunters 3’0’!

One of the newest Team Sperabo members Lennox and Mr. Fahrenheit were Champion in the Junior Cross Rail Hunters at MREC Mother's Day Classic!

PointView & Sperabo Stables are welcoming new horses and clients to our programs! We have stalls available starting August 1. Each stall measures 12’ x 12’ and is outfitted with rubber matts. We have stalls with detached paddocks and with in-and-out paddocks available .

Nestled in Delta, BC, PointView stands as a newly constructed stable spanning 109’ by 252’. It serves as the home for Sperabo Stables, under the expert guidance of resident trainer, Justine Annandale. The facilities include an impressive 80’ by 220’ indoor arena featuring top-tier Footing First TravelBright Dust Free footing. Additionally, there are rubber matted aisleways and groom stalls. An 80’ x 200’ foot outdoor sand ring and a 60’ foot round pen.

Congratulations to Justine and Zed on being Equestrian Canada National Awards winners! Justine was awarded the 2023 Top Placing Dressage Rider First Level, while Zed received the 2023 Top Placing Dressage Horse First Level. Team Sperabo couldn't be more proud of these two! This weekend Costa De Will Z and Justine participated in the Carleton and Traci Brooks from Balmoral Farm, Inc. Hunter/Equitation Clinic hosted by Perneill Training.
We would like to thank Carleton and Traci Brooks for the possibility of participating in such an amazing clinic and Perneill Training for hosting! We are very grateful for the opportunity to attend such a great clinic taught by such knowledgeable clinicians.

Happy Halloween!
Team Sperabo had a very fun Halloween party over the Halloweekend. We had 3 costume winners:

🥇Nicky, Heathrow and Potato won the most realistic costume! They were dressed up as Heathrow Airport, a pilot and her carry-on luggage.

🥇Linda and Daisy won the most creative costume and were dressed up as a Daisy and a Butterfly.

🥇Koen and Jube Jube won the best costume in the children's division. They were dressed up as scary skeletons.

We also played some fun Halloween games!

🥇Nicky and Heathrow came out with another win in the stride adjustability test. They were able to get 7 different stride numbers in a 6 stride pole line. They rode the line in 5,6,7,8,9,10 and 11 strides! Would trust them to land perfectly on any runway!

🥇Val and Frühlingsstern won the egg on spoon game, they were the only ones to make it to the canter while keeping the egg on the spoon! Showing off their dressage talent with a steady hand and smooth canter.

🥇Stella onboard Lucio and Maryam onboard Rosalita won the toilet paper tightrope. They were the only team to make it to canter without ripping the toilet paper! Despite their size and stride difference!

Thank you to all the team members who participated! It was a very fun first party at our new beautiful barn! Happy Halloween from everybody on Team Sperabo!🎃👻💀

And that is a wrap on the Summer 2023 show season! Here are a few highlights from the Hunters on Team Sperabo!

Maryam and Rosalita began their show season together at the Southlands Riding Club Season Welcomer, competing in the BB Equestrian Hunter Derby 2'6". They then progressed to the Modified Child Hunter 2'9" at Milner Downs Classic II.

Jenni and Bobbi had a successful season, moving up from 2'6" to 2'9" and earning numerous ribbons. They were Reserve Champions in the Modified Adult Hunter 2'9" at Thunderbird 2023 BC Open. Jenni was also recognized by Claudia Cojocar for her horsemanship and helping hand. We are very thankful for everything Jenni does for us and honored to have her a part of our team!

Nicola and Heathrow had a strong show season, they were Champion in the Adult Amateur Hunter 3'0" at Milner Downs Classic II. They were also Reserve Champions at Thunderbird 2023 BCHJA Fall Finale and Thunderbird 2023 BC Open in the Adult Amateur Hunter 18 - 35 3'0". Additionally, they secured 3rd place in the $2,000 Milner Downs Hunter Derby 3'0".

Drew and Limited Edition had many impressive rounds in the Amateur-Owner Hunter 3'6", earning multiple ribbons. Justine and Limited Edition had a great round in the $25,000 Foxstone Stables USHJA International Derby at the Thunderbird 2023 Summer Fort Classic, furthering their Derby career.

Costa De Will Z, ridden by Justine, received 1st place in the Young Horse Development Class Rounds 1 & 2 at Thunderbird 2023 Summer Fort Classic. Laura and Costa De Will Z received numerous ribbons in their Pre Adult Hunter 2'6".

And that is a wrap on the Summer 2023 show season! Here are a few highlights from the Jumpers on Team Sperabo!

Stella and Lucio were Champion in the 1.0M Jr/Am Jumper at Milner Downs Classic II and earned 8th place in the $1,000 1.0/1.10M Jumper Derby. Justine and Lucio were Reserve Champions in the 1.0M Open Jumper at Milner Downs Classic II.

Chelsea and Carlsbad made their debut at the Thunderbird 2023 West Coast Classic in the .75M Jumpers, with many clear rounds.

Kaitlyn and Carlsbad, also a new pair, competed in the .75M Jumpers at Thunderbird 2023 West Coast Classic, representing Team Sperabo for the first time.

Justine R and Maddie joined Team Sperabo at Milner Downs Classic II, securing a 3rd in the $1,000 Jr/Am My First Grand Prix .90M. They progressed from the .90M to the 1.0M during the week!

Jenna and Scooter joined Team Sperabo this summer at Milner Downs Classic II. They had an amazing round in the New Stride Thoroughbred Adoption Society Jumper Challenge Series .85M. They started their week at Milner Downs in the .75M and ended it with many ribbons in the .85M.

Rosie and her new mare Gatidin entered the ring for the first time together at the Thunderbird 2023 BC Open. They had many lovely rounds in the 1.0M! Very excited for their future!

Aliza and Casino made their debut as a pair at Thunderbird 2023 Summer Fort Classic, they earned 4th place in the Thunderbird Good Hands and Seat Medal .90M and 7th place in the CET Mini Medal 1.0M.

Robin and Espresso Nero started their jumper career at Southlands Riding Club Season Welcomer and continued at Milner Downs Class II in the .75M, earning numerous ribbons.
