Super GOOD NEWS everyone!!! Lily DID make it to shore on Tree Island, and has been successfully recovered!.....

I haven't been able to get a photo of him yet but he has been hanging around for quite some time and has become a real problem to my 2 cats. He seems to want a home - is he yours?"

NEXT DI MEOW CLINIC - Friday, MAY 3rd, 2024

Our next reduced cost spay/neuter clinic is coming up on Friday, May 3rd, please spread the word! If you know someone who could use our services for their feline companion please encourage them to get in touch asap. It's only gotten more expensive to help keep the numbers of unhomed felines in BC in check with timely spay/neuter and we're here to make responsible population control on Denman as affordable (and infrequent) as possible.

"Hello neighbours!

Is anyone in need of a short stay with an adorable fluffball here?
We will be away April 13 - May 10, and are in search of a house and cat sitter for that period of time. We're in a beautiful, comfy little tiny house near the cemetery—lots of great walking trails, very private and quiet.

Our cat is very friendly & easy to care for, indoor with an enclosed catio. He does well with someone staying in the house (as opposed to dropping in) as he's very affectionate and social.
Sorry, no dogs! He's not a fan.

DI MEOW is off to a busy start in 2024!

Our next reduced cost spay/neuter clinic, this Wednesday, Jan. 10th, is fully booked with FIVE cats - one female, four males (from three different island households). Sometimes folks can afford to cover the full cost of our discounted service, others depend on the subsidization available through the community support we rely on to keep the program going.

We are a registered charity which means we can provide tax receipts for any financial contributions. We also have a bin at the Bottle Depot for refundables. These take a while to add up, so it really does helps to pitch in when divying up your donations between the many worthy projects seeking support.

Please get in touch if you or someone you know can use our help. We also provide pick-up and drop-off of cats going in for surgery at no extra cost.

Been coming in my house to eat for about a year. Quiet, gentle, non invasive, respectful but non approachable. My cat is so accommodating and not threatened but definitely defensive with other intruders.
There is another identical looking only a bit bigger cat that comes around to bully. I think that one lives down Lacon aways.

FOUND - BLACK CAT in the vicinity of Middle Farm (near Recycling Centre/Old School)

A black cat, likely tattooed in 2016, was picked up on Thursday, November 23rd, by some folks concerned about her well-being. She is all black save for a small white chest star.The tattoo was difficult to discern. “Sushi is still missing! I’ve been scouring the neighborhood and looking for him many times a day as well as at night. Likely he’s hiding somewhere so hoping that anyone around Kirk Road area could just take a look around their place for him. I’ve been told by an experienced cat catcher that it’s not unusual for cats that are missing to hide and stay close to where they feel safe 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Sushi is new to Denman as of last Friday. He went out yesterday (Tuesday) for the first time and has not come home. Kirk Road near “downtown”. Super friendly. Loves people, dogs, salmon 🍣. He’s 6 years old. Last seen with his colourful collar on with name tag with my number on it. Please let me know if you’ve seen him and whereabouts.” - Mylene Olivier
