As you all know we LOVE our clients at The Dog Shoppe!

So in order to make sure we can keep all of our appointments running smoothly you may find our door locked!

Why you ask?

The way we look at is every dog deserves to be the Top Dog when they are here.

Not all dog’s handle distractions the same way.

We schedule our appointments so drop offs, grooming, pick ups, classes and shopping dates run smooth.

So if you come early and find out door locked please don’t be offended, we want to make everyone’s visit a priority!

Tips from Town of Devon, Alberta, Canada!

Having their phone numbers in your phone can be very handy if you see an animal in distress.

Let’s keep our pets safe this holiday season

Going into the holiday weekend we are going to experience some extremely cold weather that could adversely affect our pets.

Winter Pet Safety
- Pets get frostbite on their ear tips, noses, tails, and paws.
- Warm engines attract cats and small animals. Bang on your hood before starting the engine.
- Check your pets’ paws regularly after outdoor walks and wipe away the salt.
- Be alert for signs of hypothermia, including shivering, whining, sluggish or anxious behaviour.
- Consider providing dry, well-insulated shelter if an animal is to be kept outdoors.

If you observe an animal in distress, you can contact the main Town Office during regular business hours at 780-987-8300 or the afterhours emergency line at 1-825-316-2008.

The Town also works with the Alberta SPCA who can be contacted at 1-800-455-9003 and your local Devon RCMP - 780-987-3413.

Your Devon Peace Officers would like you to wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year. Thank you for helping us keep your pets safe this past year.
