Tip of the Day:
If someone lovingly give you this for your dog for Christmas... take a picture of it beside your Pup to Thank them and then throw it out.

Although rawhide chews come in lots of fun shapes and sizes this Christmas, your dog can easily chew off and swallow large pieces, leading to a potential choking hazard or intestinal obstruction. What’s even worse is how rawhide is created. Rawhide is a by-product of the leather industry and are often washed and sterilized with a variety of (often harmful) chemicals, such as sodium sulfide, lime, chromium salts, bleach, and hydrogen peroxide. It is then molded and dyed to form what you see in pet stores today.
Please avoid them at all cost, no matter how pretty they market them! 🥴

What a weekend!! Check your emails! I hope you LOVE all your pictures! A HUGE thank you to Torrie for helping me with this backdrop! To Gene for gladly stepping in to help hang snowflakes. Come join us for a fun-filled afternoon of crafting adorable wooden Christmas gnomes! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a beginner, this event is perfect for everyone. Get creative and make your own unique holiday decorations to add some festive charm to your home.
You will put together 3 wooden gnomes, and additional gnomes can be purchased for an additional $10 each.
All supplies will be provided and you are invited to bring any special notions or extras you want to add to your gnomes!
The beard material can get messy, please bring an apron or wear clothes you’re okay getting fuzzy.

How do we help kids deal with loss?

This can be a very difficult conversation. Often a death of a friend or loved one before the age of 25 is a child’s first exposure to death, grief and loss. How we deal with it will have a big impact and will form patterns in how they deal with death in the future.

Best advice is to go slowly and tread lightly. Answer any questions as honestly as you can. Even if that answer is “I don’t know.”

Ask often if they have heard enough? Do they want to keep talking or do they need a break. Let them guide the conversation. It can be very overwhelming. Don’t push. Don’t force. Some kids do not want to talk at all.

This process is called micro dosing and it’s a valuable tactic for anyone who is struggling with loss.
