Didsbury Designs All items are handmade by us in our home using locally raised Federally Inspected meat and local home grown fruit and veggies when possible.

We use no artificial ingredients, colors or any preservatives. We pride ourselves on doing the best we can. Welcome to Didsbury Designs, pull up a chair and see what's new in our shop. We are a 2 person outfit who both enjoy crafting with our hands and our imagination and creating healthy natural treats. We are located in Didsbury, Alberta which is 1/2 way between Red Deer and Calgary. We have ha

d challenges with allergies and medical food concerns with our furbabies and decided the commercial treats weren't safe or as good for them as we thought. So we started to make dog cookies, dog treats and cat treats ourselves. All our ingredients are made using human quality food, local raised and grown. Most of it is from our garden where we use no chemicals or pesticides. Our treats and cookies are a natural, healthy option for your baby. I will be updating this page as i bake and Holly creates her sewing treasures

Now on to the sewing part of the team. Holly creates all the dolls by hand and no 2 will ever be the same, just like humans, with different skin tones, eye and hair color they are unique. The Branch charms are beautiful beaded works of art. The branches are cut from our own trees and will come with what type of wood it is. Coming soon are Doggy Boots, Jackets, flat crate beds and flat doggy beds, bags we call Doggy overnight bags. She's working on doggy poop bags that are stylish and will match the coats. Coming soon from the bakery will be Doggy cupcakes, doggy brownies, gluten and grain free cookies with no eggs or dairy, treats using the Hills Science Diet Plan in Cat and Dog treats for those special diet eaters. If you need a treat made a special way just ask and I'll try to make it. Any questions are welcome and we answer. We can ship anywhere across Canada anything but to the USA food products can't go (Customs says no).

A thank you to everyone who has supported us in our dog and cat toys and treats.

After 30 years of doing shows with different items it's now time to move on to the next chapter and will be no longer be doing in person markets but going to sell on line with Esty and Shopify. As well as through here.

Holly is going to be soon making XL small and XXL and XXL dog coats.

With that being said tomorrow I drop off 4 bags of cat toys and some Xmas stockings to the Wild Rose Human Society here in town. We can all make a difference in the lives of rescue animals even if it's just toys to play with.

Our Story

Buying jerky treats or any kind of treats for yours and other peoples fur babies, can turn into a nightmare with major safety issues. Jerky treats made in China are behind numerous dog illnesses and even deaths. The News has been issuing warnings since 2007 but still these dangerous treats sit on the shelves. Products when you read the label now say product of USA but processed in China, not sure how this is a change from before. We use human grade, locally raised and federally inspected meat. Our veggies are either grown by us or locally sourced when we can from farmers that have the same beliefs as we do, natural and no pesticides, fruit from our garden. and it's all dehydrated on our home with nothing added to the final product except for some love. We believe that every pet out there deserves to have quality treats and toys.
