We are so happy to let you all know that Dr. Rhonda Hamilton, along with our casual workers Jodi & Rachael from Cumberland County Animal Hospital, and other members from our other sister hospitals were very successful on their spay & neuter relief trip to Aruba ❤️! The Steele veterinary team succesfully spayed/neutered, microchipped and parasite treated approximately 200 dogs & cats 🐾!

We worked with an incredible organization called Animal Welfare Alliance Aruba, who help to sterilize street animals along with animals owned by low income families. The dogs and cats we treated were nervous but overall so sweet. We feel they knew we were there to help them ❤️!

Many of the animals we saw were in rough condition; underweight, tick infested, with infected skin and wounds. Some of the surgeries performed were very challenging but we are so happy to report that ALL of the animals we helped recovered successfully after surgery.

On average, altered animals live 1.5-3 years longer than intact animals. So not only did we help to give these animals a longer life, but we also helped to make an improvement in the overwhelming street animal population in Aruba.

We could not do these spay & neuter missions without the support of our clients and community. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us so that we can make a difference not only at home but also worldwide in places that desperately need the help with their animal population ❤️. Thank you 🐾!

I'm sending a huge THANK YOU to Dr Rhonda Hamilton & Dr Jana Arseneault of Grey Cove Veterinary Health Centre for their tremendous support & professional expertise this weekend. Miss Phoebe decided to bloat Fri night & x-rays showed a twist in her stomach too. We went into surgery & very fortunately, were able to untwist her stomach, drain the air & fluid contents & Dr Hamilton tacked her stomach to her ribs. Home by 2 am. Dr Arsenault had done an anesthesia rotation at AVC & handled what can be a tricky anesthesia with confidence. Phoebe was looking for breakfast Sat am & is continuing to recover very well at home.

I have been working at Grey Cove for only 2 months & have fabulous colleagues to help out in an emergency. To be fair, all the staff I've worked with over the years, have been generous with their time when asked for help!

Convenience just got a whole lot better!
