Don't excuse your dogs behaviour!
I frequently see people on walks focusing on apologizing to the people around them. Focus on your dog and don't let them practice that behaviour. Be a team

Handling exercises are an important first step to your pups relationship with the vet and groomer. Take it slow, lots of positivity and rewards and best to do when pup is calm and he as no expectation of play.
The goal is to be able to examine your dog from head to toe and everything in between without stress. If you do see discomfort take a step back and take baby steps forward.
